Introducing the latest addition to our all analog Series A lineup — Canoga Vintage Silicon Fuzz. Ten years ago Strymon CEO and analog engineer Gregg Stock built a few custom fuzzes in an afternoon as a way of clearing his head, and they’ve been gathering dust on a shelf ever since. Unearthed seven years later when we needed a fuzz to pair with our UltraViolet vibe, that rediscovery became the catalyst for the creation of our new Series A line of all-analog pedals.
Now we’re pleased to announce the arrival of Canoga, a tweaked version of a vintage silicon FuzzFace® based upon one of Gregg’s original three fuzz designs. Full up it works as a fuzz or distortion, but if you back the guitar’s volume down there’s a world of varied tones on tap for all different styles of music. Introducing PCH X1 and X2.
Designed to be pristine-sounding before any other feature, PCH X1 and X2 are active phantom-powered and transformer-isolated direct injection boxes that you can trust implicitly to handle your audio, no matter what kind of signal it is. While many DIs struggle with tone-altering noise or low-end distortion, both PCH X1 and X2 remain clean and quiet from very low frequencies (10Hz) to well above what humans can hear (80kHz).
Along with pristine audio, PCH X1 and X2 were designed with a host of real-world features that make them ideal as direct interfaces and line isolators.
Both X1 and X2 feature custom audio transformers on each channel that eliminate most ground loops and offer true galvanic isolation.
Both units feature a ground lift switch per channel to combat hum.
A variable high pass filter (at 80Hz or 240Hz) allows you to tame rumble or dramatically carve out low frequency space in your mix.
For full stereo rig flexibility, PCH X2 features both a phase reversal and a Sum switch, allowing you to interface with both mono and stereo scenarios on the go without having to rewire anything.
Both X1 and X2 feature a non-buffered Thru output, allowing you to feed your signal to an additional device like an onstage monitor or instrument amplifier separately from the balanced output.
Whether you need transparent audio, dead silent on-stage performance, or ultimate flexibility for any routing scenario you can encounter, PCH X1 and X2 deliver it all without compromise.
