Firehorse & Shadow In Community is an embodied film screening event bringing forward the felt and sometimes untold stories, focused on, but not limited to the lived experiences of Chinese Canadian women situated in Vancouver’s Historic Chinatown.
There will be movement, shadow play, a special performance by Vancouver Cantonese Opera's Rosa Cheng and short films made from beautiful footage taken over the past year by Sophia Mai Wolfe, Yasuhiro Okada, Daniel Loan and Ran Zheng, interwoven with super 8 home movies of Andrea’s grandmother and family.

@ivo_dimchev works–and plays–at the intersection of performance art, choreography, theatre, images and music. He is a consistent feature at Vienna's @impulstanz_festival . The mixed media artist has created over 30 productions, and his oeuvre is a wild and vivacious mixture of forms. Dimchev has toured the globe and recorded three albums of delicious pop music: Trakia, Sculptures and a compilation of live recordings.
