After a virtual production job wrapped, we did a little test. This was @leecherry and @frustumvirtual in a few hours of messing around. Notice the handheld #parallax and the #360 rig. The tech is very powerful and easily accessible with a little bit of prep. Hit us up. Bring your own files or we can guide you through from ideation to execution. Full performance in bio! @grammys sent me a long list of #Grammy winning songs to choose from for their #grammysreimagined series. Being a pop girlie, there were more obvious choices I could’ve gone with- Madonna, Brandi Carlile- but how could I truly ‘reimagine’ songs so close to home? I wanted to do something unexpected.
All My Life is one of my favorite @foofighters songs, and digging into the cryptic lyric resonated with me on a level I hadn’t expected— raw, nuanced, self aware, brutally honest, and masterfully crafted; from the smoldering verse to the explosive hook, the marriage of lyric and dynamic composition perfectly encapsulates a viscous emotional cycle rarely touched upon, in a way I’ve never really heard before or since.
My personal takeaway from it was the insatiable desire to connect, the lows we stoop to to get it, the thrill of the chase, the crush of disappointment, the shame for dessert, and the resulting rage that we’ll never actually reach that prize at the end of the rope…. What a song. A well deserved Grammy winner!
