Na de zomer trekt Michael De Cock de deuren van de KVS definitief achter zich dicht. Tien jaar lang was hij er artistiek directeur, maar nu ruilt hij Brussel in voor een avontuur bij het Luikse stadstheater. Tijd dus om terug te blikken op enkele scharniermomenten die het voorbije decennium vorm hebben gegeven.

Their show “Hannibal”, created with KVS, Théâtre de Liège and NT Gent, is a rhythm-driven performance created by many, yet beating with one shared heartbeat. In a unique fusion of opera and slam poetry, techno and classical music, contemporary dance and theatre, the piece unfolds the story of Hannibal, the Punic Wars, and the birth of Europe building a mythical history that feels strikingly relevant today.
