🍃 After 25 years, LEAF is stepping into its next chapter with a refreshed logo. As LEAF continues to grow worldwide, our new look reflects what the programme represents today: learning that connects people with nature across all ecosystems. The new blue details are a reminder that nature doesn’t stop at the shoreline. From coral reefs and seagrass meadows to mangroves and open oceans, marine and coastal ecosystems support biodiversity, regulate the climate and sustain communities around the world. Learning through nature includes life above and below water. You’ll also notice a more universal leaf shape, reflecting learning across many ecosystems, not just one. And the person remains at the heart, echoing Eco-Schools and representing what matters most: the relationship between people and nature, and the power of learning together. ➡ Get involved. 🌿 Today is #OutdoorClassroomDay, and for many years @fee_global has proudly been at the forefront of this movement, working to give children access to learning beyond four walls. Education should not come only from books, but from nature itself. There is no more engaging way for a child to learn than by doing, exploring, and experiencing the world firsthand. Outdoor learning sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and creates lasting connections with the environment. 📸 Photos taken by our national operators of our six programmes: @ecoschoolsint , @blueflag_global , @leaf_int , @ecocampus_int , @yre_int and @greenkeyint . This reflects the shared commitment to inspiring young minds through nature-based education.

🌐Discovering Ecosystems with @leaf_int : México México is home to an abundance of ecosystems, from mangrove forests to vast deserts. The country’s rich fauna and flora support extraordinary wildlife, unique plant species, and communities whose lives are deeply connected to nature. Yet these ecosystems are still under pressure. México has lost over 120,000 hectares of forest cover in 2025 (@fao ), a reminder of why ecosystem restoration is more urgent than ever. LEAF invites students to explore and connect with nature, building the knowledge and motivation to take action for a more sustainable future. 🌱 Be part of the solution. 🚀 50+ years of Earth, captured from above 🌍 From NASA’s Landsat archive to ESA’s Sentinel missions, satellites have been quietly watching our planet transform for over half a century, revealing forests, cities, oceans, and climate change in motion. These images don’t just show change. They highlight why ecosystem restoration matters. From deforestation to recovery, space-based data helps us understand where action is needed and how nature can bounce back. Seeing Earth from space changes how you see everything. 🛰️ The Pictures above represents respectively: 🏜️ Atacama Desert, Chile ❄️ Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier, Iceland 🌊 Lake Mjøsa, Norway 🐘 Kruger National Park, South Africa Read more about FEE’s work in Environmental Restoration Education as part of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, and join #GenerationRestoration Schools. 🔗 Link in Bio.

🌿 LEAF Good Practices: The Hug A Tree Initiative At Imara Comprehensive School in Kenya, one of our dedicated LEAF Schools, learners are taking the lead in Environmental Restoration Education. Through the “Hug A Tree Initiative,” students go beyond planting trees, adopting and caring for them to ensure they grow to maturity and restore the local environment. With hands-on activities like school greening, tree planting, and participation in community awareness campaigns and educational field visits, learners are building a deep understanding of conservation and sustainability. By combining learning with action, these students are helping restore ecosystems and create lasting environmental impact in their communities. ➡️ Be part of the #GenerationRestoration Schools movement! Register, share your projects and inspire more schools to take action for environmental restoration: https://www.leaf.global/generation-restoration-schools

📚🌍 This World Book Day, we reflect on what it really takes to turn climate ambition into action. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tim Christophersen (VP Climate Action at Salesforce, former UNEP) to FEE. His new book, Generation Restoration, explores how we can move beyond commitments and drive real, lasting change. In our conversation, we explored how organisations can bridge the gap between climate targets and real behaviour change, what truly motivates companies to invest in environmental education and youth engagement beyond branding, and the biggest sustainability wins so far. 🔗 Discover more in Generation Restoration: /
