Turning Plastic Waste into Community Impact ♻️ A wonderful example of integrating the Eco-Schools Seven-Steps Framework, from sustainability audit to measuring impact, took place in @eco_schools.bulgaria . At Vasil Levski Primary School, students conducted a student-led audit of household plastic bag use, collecting and analysing data within their families. The findings informed an action plan that expanded to include plastic and textile waste reduction, implemented in partnership with the municipality and a certified recycling company. Activities included mapping local collection points, visiting waste management facilities, recycling plastics at school, and donating reusable clothing. 📊 Measured impact 648 kg of plastic waste collected and recycled Over 50% reduction in single-use plastic bag use among participating families This good practice demonstrates how the Eco-Schools methodology enables structured, student-led action that results in verifiable environmental outcomes at community level. 🌿 Today is #OutdoorClassroomDay, and for many years @fee_global has proudly been at the forefront of this movement, working to give children access to learning beyond four walls. Education should not come only from books, but from nature itself. There is no more engaging way for a child to learn than by doing, exploring, and experiencing the world firsthand. Outdoor learning sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and creates lasting connections with the environment. 📸 Photos taken by our national operators of our six programmes: @ecoschoolsint , @blueflag_global , @leaf_int , @ecocampus_int , @yre_int and @greenkeyint . This reflects the shared commitment to inspiring young minds through nature-based education.
