We opened a gallery in Greenpoint and named it Donkey. šŸ« Donkeys carry the weight and keep going. Artists do the same. They carry the culture, and move us into whatever is next. Serious work, shown in unstuffy ways. Events that feel like gatherings. A space for people who make things. @donkeygreenpoint has landed - come visit! 60 West Street, Greenpoint

Women like Ada Lovelace and Marie Curie were literal geniuses, and still had to make space for themselves in an industry where no one wanted to give it. Fast-forward to now, and we’re finally seeing the needle move — last year, women in STEAM grew by nearly 5%, and almost 30% of positions in tech and engineering are now held by women. These aren’t just numbers; they’re new voices, new minds, and a quiet but profound shift in spaces long dominated by another narrative. Thank you @rebelgirls for including me in such an inspiring list of Women in STEAM. Here’s to the groundbreakers, rule-benders, and all the women in STEAM who are done waiting for a seat at the table. Let’s go build our own.

I don’t know how to say ā€œspending time with the people you love is the whole pointā€ without it sounding like a waiting room poster, but they’re it! They’re the whole point! I’ve checked and there simply is nothing else. On the beach, on broadway, on tiktok, and all on film… because you need proof of things that feel too good to be true. A spring weekend with my very best guys, who make me feel like myself, my smile as my witness. @ryanhast making šŸ“· magic per usual

Chino is perched so high in the mountains of Japan that in the winter, keeping warm is a primary occupation. A constant stream of pouring tea, the rhythmic shabu-shabu (swish-swish!) of pork through hot broth, and mashing hot soybeans into tofu molds by hand. You eat the ramen, then become the ramen, soaking your cold bones in the onsen until the world feels soft again. No one is trying to be ā€œon trend.ā€ It’s a quiet, centuries-old logic. A system, even. The precise stacking of mismatched china, the shoji screens turning winter sun golden, and persimmons hung like lanterns to cure in the wind. It’s all about making. Making food, making heat, making a place for a brown cat named Cha-cha (brown-brown!) to sleep. A cultural playbook for keeping the soul on fire when the world freezes over. Thank you @emikodavies and @visit_chino for opening my eyes and heart to this special place ā¤ļø

Two very different climates to start 2026; one very sweaty and the other very bundled. Rose being far more efficient (and fun) than any AI agent. Shorts in JFK in Jan, fresh @rnwulf art up on the wall, and my annual tussle with covid. A @fredagainagainagainagainagain + @cariboumusic dance party so epic that it was certainly worth whatever @weareyourfek had to do for those tickets šŸ˜— Against all odds in a month of so much darkness… bright spots.

Outside, the city is draped in municipal glitter. Inside, we’ve surrendered to cake and coffee for breakfast. The eggs are indifferent, but the latkes — fried in a kitchen the size of a postage stamp — are ambitious (Fact; they taste better when produced under duress!) It’s the grand and the greasy this holiday season. A spoonful of splendor, and a massive dollop of cream, on everything.
