Hello #Thornhill! 🧠💙 A better future for those living with dementia is within reach. The Improving Dementia Care in Ontario Act, 2024 is a vital step towards a more compassionate and comprehensive approach to care.
✅ Establishing a provincial framework to enhance care across healthcare providers and families.
✅ Reviewing PSW standards to ensure they are equipped to meet the unique needs of dementia patients.
✅ Offering support to families and caregivers facing the emotional and physical challenges of dementia.
Together, we can create a stronger, more supportive Ontario for all. 💪

Hello #Thornhill!📢 Big step forward for community safety! 🚨
Bill 138, now embedded in the Safer Streets, Stronger Communities Act, is taking a stand against convicted sex offenders who try to evade accountability by changing their names.
Under this bill, offenders on the sex offender registry are ineligible for a name change, ensuring they remain visible and accountable to the public.
🔒 Strengthening our safety.
⚖️ Reinforcing accountability.
💪 Protecting our communities.

Hello #Thornhill! Our government is taking action to address the rise of hate, particularly antisemitism, on post-secondary campuses. We are deeply concerned by the growing incidents of discrimination in our universities and colleges. Our students must feel secure and supported in their learning environments.
Motion 90, integrated in the Strengthening Accountability And Student Supports Act, ensures swift responses to hate-related incidents and mandates annual reporting. This motion reaffirms our commitment to creating safe, inclusive campuses where all students can thrive, free from hate and discrimination.
Motion 90 Works to Ensure:
✅Immediate Action Required: Mandates a 30-day response to all hate-related incidents and complaints.
✅Mandatory Annual Reporting: Requires colleges and universities to report hate incidents to the Minister every year.

There’s something incredibly powerful about surrounding yourself with women who lead with purpose, strength, compassion, and vision.
When influential women come together; politics, business and community all become stronger. Grateful to stand beside such inspiring forces making a real impact in our communities and beyond. @laurasmithmpp@rosanna.defrancesca #lauracompagni #igniteyourfire #community #womensupportingwomen #inspire
Truly honoured to attend the ceremonial signing marking Ontario’s affiliate membership with the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
As a Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of Procedure and House Affairs I was proud to advocate for this significant partnership. This important milestone strengthens the longstanding relationship between Ontario and the United States and creates new opportunities for collaboration, partnership, and shared learning with U.S. state legislators.
I look forward to the opportunities this new partnership will create between Ontario and our American counterparts.

On International Celiac Awareness Day, we recognize the importance of awareness, understanding, and support for those living with celiac disease. 💚
It was meaningful to meet with Kyle and hear about his advocacy journey and the difference he wants to make for others — especially children living with celiac disease.
To honor this fight and help #ShineALightOnCeliac, CN Tower is glowing green tonight.
Thank you, Kyle, for using your voice to help build awareness and create positive change.

Safe and affordable housing is the foundation for stronger communities.
Proud to attend on behalf of Minister @robflackeml to announce over $28 million in funding for four crucial housing projects in Peel Region, creating 599 affordable homes for families, seniors, and vulnerable residents.
This milestone reflects strong partnerships between the Government of Ontario, the Government of Canada, and local partners working together to build sustainable, accessible housing.
Together, we’re helping more Ontarians find a safe, stable place to call home.

Hey Thornhill, this long weekend is a chance to recognize the people who serve us every day. 🇨🇦🍁
Vaughan Ribfest X is celebrating Warriors Day on Saturday, May 16 at Assembly Park — honouring our veterans, active duty members, and first responders, with complimentary entry.
This feels especially meaningful as my Private Member’s Bill will help strengthen protections for our first responders.
Looking forward to connecting with the community and honouring Canada’s heroes. 🎖️🇨🇦

Good news for Ontario families.
Yesterday, Bill 114: HST Relief Implementation Act, received Royal Assent, helping deliver HST relief on eligible new homes.
By cutting the cost of HST, our government is helping reduce costs for homebuyers and support the dream of homeownership — with up to $130,000 in relief available for individuals and families.
Our government will continue working to make life more affordable and support more housing across Ontario.

It is always a proud moment for me to see a Thornhill business growing, creating jobs, and supporting Ontario’s economy.
Recently, I was proud to welcome Letar Inc.’s investment of over $5.2 million right here in Thornhill.
Our government is also supporting this growth with $753,738 through the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness Stream.
Once again, I would like to thank Premier @fordnationdougford and Minister @vicfedeli for their leadership in supporting Ontario businesses, workers, and manufacturers.
