Wishing everyone in Ontario a happy and safe #VictoriaDay! Enjoy the long weekend and be sure to take part in the exciting local festivities happening in #ElginMiddlesexLondon.
There’s something for everyone, so bring some family and friends and check out what the riding has to offer! 🎆
As MPP for #ElginMiddlesexLondon, I always appreciate opportunities to collaborate with partners and neighbours in Southwestern Ontario. This week at #QueensPark, I sat down with municipal leaders from the riding of #PerthWellington, alongside MPP @raematt .

Thank you to the team for a productive discussion, as we look to work together and explore further avenues to grow the region.
Another exciting day at #QueensPark! It was a pleasure to welcome students from Calton Christian School to the Legislature yesterday. Thanks for making the trip down, all the way from beautiful #ElginMiddlesexLondon!
Today in Aylmer, we announced new funding through the Civil Remedies Grant Program to support the important work being done by the Aylmer Police Service to help prevent crime, strengthen public safety, and support local community initiatives.
Funds seized from criminal activity are being reinvested right back into our communities, helping frontline organizations continue the work that keeps families safe and neighbourhoods strong.
Thank you to Chief Kyle Johnstone, Deputy Chief Chris Johnson, and everyone at the Aylmer Police Service for your dedication and commitment to protecting our community every single day.

The numbers don’t lie, and a data-driven approach to kickstarting the housing industry is integral to its success. Thank you to the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation team, including President and Chief Administrative Officer Nicole McNeill, for a productive meeting at #QueensPark this week.

I look forward to our continued collaboration as our government innovates and maintains accuracy in the housing sector.
This past weekend, I spent some time in West Elgin, celebrating the permanent protection of MapleCross – Bass Woods alongside community leaders, conservation partners, and the Bass family.
This beautiful 30-hectare property is filled with rare Carolinian forest, incredible wildlife, important pollinators, and species at risk. It is the kind of place that reminds you just how special our region really is.
A huge thank you to the Thames Talbot Land Trust and the Bass family for their vision and commitment to protecting this space for future generations. It’s always inspiring to see people come together to preserve the natural spaces we all enjoy.

Last week at #QueensPark, Bill 100, the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026, received Royal Assent.
The goals of Bill 100 are simple: streamline municipal councils, align provincial-municipal priorities, and speed up decision-making.
By moving forward with this bill, the government is protecting Ontario’s future, supporting housing and economic development, strengthening communities, and ensuring municipalities are well positioned to meet the needs of a growing province.

The Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus plays an integral role in driving key priorities forward for 103 Ontario municipalities.
Today was their advocacy day at #QueensPark, a great chance to discuss innovative growth opportunities and our shared vision for a stronger Ontario.
Thank you to Chair Bonnie Clark for your ongoing support and dedication to the region.
Join us next Tuesday, May 19th, for a morning of helpful information, important resources, and great conversations focused on topics that matter to seniors and their families.

What an honour to be in Dorchester for the International Brotherhood Camporee opening ceremonies and to help recognize two outstanding community leaders, Ernie Reid and Mike Lacey, with the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.
This award recognizes Canadians who have made exceptional volunteer contributions to their communities, and both gentlemen are truly deserving of the honour. Congratulations, and thank you both for everything you do to make our community stronger.

This collaborative approach is essential to advancing our shared priorities, building stronger communities, and delivering the infrastructure and services that people across the province rely on every day.
