A huge MAZAL TOV to Noam Bettan on placing 2nd at Eurovision 2026! 🇮🇱🎉
A proud moment for Israel and the Jewish community around the world. Watching Israeli talent shine on one of the world’s biggest stages fills us with so much pride. Toronto is celebrating with you tonight! 💙
Shabbat Shalom, Jewish Toronto! Did you know that Broadway’s biggest night has a hometown connection?
The 2026 Tony Awards nominations were recently announced, and among this year’s nominees is “Giant”, led by Toronto-raised producers Brian and Dayna (Bloom) Lee. The production earned four nominations, including Best Play.
Though they grew up just kilometres apart in the GTA, they didn’t meet until attending the same university—a little bashert, perhaps. They later moved to New York City to launch their own production company.
Brian is a graduate of UJA partner schools The Leo Baeck Day School and TanenbaumCHAT—a proud Jewish day school connection on Broadway’s biggest night.
From Jewish Toronto classrooms to the Broadway stage, Canadian Jewish talent continues to have an impact around the world.
When you walk the streets of Jerusalem, there is no denying the power of this ancient city.
For thousands of years, Jerusalem has stood at the heart of Jewish faith, culture, and history.
Today, on Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), we celebrate the reunification of Jerusalem and the return of the Jewish people to the Old City 59 years ago.
It was an extraordinary moment that fulfilled generations of longing, prayer, and unwavering hope.
As war continues to affect daily life, Israelis are working to heal, rebuild, and recover. 🇮🇱
That’s why every step at this year’s Walk with Israel matters and why every donation over the next 2 days will be matched dollar for dollar up to $118,000 thanks to Almore, Fabricland, and an anonymous donor.
Join us June 7th and donate now to double your impact. Am Yisrael Chai.

After generations of waiting, hundreds are finally coming home. ✈️🇮🇱
Over the past few weeks, 600 members of India’s Bnei Menashe community arrived in Israel as part of a global Jewish effort to relocate the community.
Under the “Wings of Dawn” operation, the Government of Israel and The Jewish Agency for Israel (The Jewish Agency) plan to bring 1,200 people from the northeastern Indian states of Mizoram and Manipur by the end of 2026, and another 4,800 by 2030.
UJA is proud to fund the life-saving work of The Jewish Agency to enable the world’s most at-risk Jewish communities to fulfil the dream of Aliyah. We were honoured to be present as the first flights departed from India, enabling us to have on-the-ground updates about the unique needs of Bnei Menashe and identify how to maximize the impact of our investment.
UJA brings Canadian Jewish heritage to life by unlocking the full potential of our community. Through a wide network of programs and partners, we educate, celebrate, and connect people across the GTA and beyond.
Swipe to discover how we help preserve our stories, strengthen identity, and create meaningful connections across generations.
As we mark Canadian Jewish Heritage Month, we invite you to explore, engage, and share the story of Jewish life. By celebrating our heritage and investing in our future, we ensure that Jewish identity, culture, and community continue to thrive for generations to come.
Resilience. Strength. Smiles that say everything. 💙🤍
In the depths of the terror tunnels of Hamas, they promised each other that one day they would get out and celebrate together.
Now, Omer Wenkert, Almog Meir Jan, Evyatar David, and Guy Gilboa Dalal are standing tall, smiling, united, and proudly holding the Israeli flag after celebrating Guy’s 25th birthday together.
A powerful reminder of courage, hope, friendship, and the unbreakable spirit to keep going even through the darkest moments.
Wishing Noam Bettan, Israel’s 2026 Eurovision representative, the best of luck in this year’s competition! 🇮🇱🎤
Noam is a 28-year-old singer-songwriter from Ra’anana, Israel. Born to a French-Israeli family, he’s known for blending Hebrew, French, and English influences into his music to create a unique and emotional sound.
His Eurovision entry, “Michelle,” showcases that distinctive style, and he’s set to perform in the first semifinal tomorrow as he hopes to earn a spot in the grand final!
We’re beyond excited and cheering you on all the way from Toronto! Wishing Noam the best of luck and lots of hatzlacha! ✨🎵
Happy Mother’s Day, Jewish Toronto! We’re sending love and gratitude to all the amazing moms, grandmothers, and motherly figures who inspire and nurture our community every day. 💙
Thank you for passing down traditions, strengthening Jewish life, and helping shape our community for generations to come. Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day! 💐
There are people who are deliberately trying to intimidate and terrorize our community. Enough is enough.
