When Jordan presented his mom with the 2 looks he would be styling her in she laughed, “That’s so Jordan….I’m supposed to put that on?!”
Sue was born and raised in New York and carried her son’s looks like she was born to wear vibrant colors. Jordan said, “it was no surprise to me how well she did in front of the lens … she’s a star!”
"I am 61 years young and feel amazing." Sue's contagious spirit and zest for life at 61 serve as a testament to the boundless energy and enthusiasm that transcends age.

Sue said, “I’m mostly proud of Jordan because he understands how being himself is the greatest art form there is….and his craft is a blessing to this World!” Sue's journey is an inspiring one, marked by resilience and self-discovery. She emphasizes the importance of aging gracefully: "I have embraced getting older... It is something money can't buy."

I’ve been working on my STYLE YOUR PARENT(S) series for about two years, and along the way I’ve realized that SO much of the joy and magic happens behind the scenes—when I’m not snapping away—-the laughter, the nerves, the bonding! Nazie: “I thought he was NUTS… but it turned out to be a lot of fun.”
Q: Did you have a favorite look?
Nazie: “The black suit. It made me feel powerful.”
Q: What was it like being in front of the camera?
Nazie: “Nervous. We’ve never been friends, me and the lens.”
Q: What makes you proud of your son?
Nazie: “Everything. His big heart. His creativity. The life he’s building in New York.”
Q: What gets better with age?
Nazie: “Wisdom. Freedom. Caring less what people think.”
Q: Advice to younger people?
Nazie: “Take your time. Learn who you are before committing to anything—or anyone.”
Q: What’s your relationship like?
Nazie: “We’re mother and child—but also friends. We love and believe in each other.”

Bijan: “Organic.”

Bijan: “Look 1: a grey western suit from Santa Fe Vintage in New Mexico.
Look 2: vintage Levi’s, Hysteric Glamour track top, Silk Denim Tears bandana, Akila sunglasses, and her own Pumas.”

Q: What was it like styling your mom?
Bijan: “Exciting. She’s always been my biggest fan. It felt good to turn the tables.”
Q: Seeing her model your looks?
Bijan: “The suit was my favorite—I’d never seen her in one. It pulled out this power.”
Q: What do you admire most about her?
Bijan: “Her resiliency. She always finds a way to rise and love through it.”
Q: Anything about your relationship?
Bijan: “I’m blessed. We lean on each other. We grow together.”
