I’ve been working on my STYLE YOUR PARENT(S) series for about two years, and along the way I’ve realized that SO much of the joy and magic happens behind the scenes—when I’m not snapping away—-the laughter, the nerves, the bonding! I’m so grateful to Waylon and @s.ivva for documenting the love and the process behind this series. And a huge thank you to @eilishboyd for masterfully editing it all together!

Pan Wangshu in Hangzhou for Apartamento Magazine
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with me I had so much fun getting to know you! We hung around the studio and talked about feelings and perspective, the next day we ran around Hangzhou in the bamboo forest and rice fields. My favorite part was getting noodles and soup on this narrow street with little plastic chairs, probably the best meal l’ve ever had. I would find these places I thought looked interesting and placed Pan in the middle of the scene and she somehow knew my style already, Pan kept joking she knew I would take this photo
