What does it take to keep the U.S. ahead in the next era of space? Yesterday at the Aerospace & Defense Summit, we brought together @senmarkkelly , NASA’s Kevin Coggins, and leaders from across industry, government, and academia to find out; in partnership with @arizonastateuniversity . The biggest takeaway: leadership in space isn’t automatic. It’s built through long-term investment, deeper industry-government collaboration, and a stronger innovation pipeline. The silver lining to LA’s twin disasters is that survivors have bonded in the aftermath of these fires to push for change and an opportunity to rebuild. In a recent episode of Rebuilding L.A., Joy Chen, the executive director of the Every Fire Survivor’s Network, talks with host Kate Cagle about how the experience of living through the Eaton Fire, and dealing with the fallout, has brought her fellow Altadeanans closer together — and forged alliances with Palisades fire victims — in the fight to make sure everyone can get back home. #rebuildingla #lafires #survivornetwork

What will it take for the United States to remain ahead in the next era of space? At the Aerospace & Defense Summit, @senmarkkelly delivered a keynote on the future of American aerospace leadership, and why it’s becoming central to national security, economic strength and global competitiveness. His message? Leadership in space isn’t automatic. It’s built through long-term investment, sustained innovation and close collaboration between government, industry and academia. As global competition accelerates, Sen. Stop waiting until you’re sore to start recovering. According to Therabody founder Dr. Jason Wersland, the biggest mistake most people make is thinking recovery only happens after the workout. On this episode of the #livewell podcast, @drjasonwersland explains why true recovery should happen before, during, and after movement instead of just being a band-aid for when you’re already in pain. 🔗 Tap the link in bio to watch the full episode now. #biohacking #Therabody #Recovery #FitnessTips

Los Angeles Dodgers welcomed Mookie Betts back to the lineup Monday night, but the team’s offensive struggles continued in another loss to the San Francisco Giants. The team is now looking to increase their outfield depth by acquiring Alek Thomas from the Arizona Diamondbacks as they look to spark a slumping offense. #dodgers #socal #mookiebetts #alekthomas #sfgiants

In this episode of “Rebuilding L.A.,” Miguel Santana, the president and chief executive of the California Community Foundation, sits down with host Kate Cagle to discuss the real risk that more L.A. fire survivors could end up homeless as money for temporary housing disappears — and highlight the delay in additional federal funding, which would help stave off displacement. According to the latest survey from the nonprofit Department of Angels, which Santana co-founded with Snapchat’s Evan Siegel, more than 22% of fire survivors have already lost housing support, and an additional 24% are expected to lose it within the next year. Nearly 500 days after the Jan. 7, 2025, fires, survivors are still waiting for the kind of federal assistance that has sped recovery in other disasters, including the 2023 fire in Lahaina, Hawaii. On Friday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom requested a 12-month extension from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Individuals and Households Program of its disaster assistance for the fire victims. #trump #newsom #losangeles #palisades #altadena

If perimenopause has made your workout motivation feel completely unpredictable, you’re not alone. While recording the #LiveWell podcast, @thesculptsociety founder and celebrity trainer @meganroup (who helped #KateHudson prep for the Oscars) shared some genuinely refreshing insights on how to stay consistent with movement when your energy feels like it changes by the hour. One thing Megan said that really stuck with us was that it’s not pushing harder but working with your hormones instead of against them. More women are starting to realize that the workouts that once left them feeling strong can suddenly leave them feeling exhausted, inflamed, or burnt out during #perimenopause and there’s actually a reason for that. 💪✨ Read more about why many women are quitting extreme workouts and choosing gentler fitness instead at the link in bio. #workoutmotivation #motivation

The slowest boat in France is also its most considered luxury experience. The Savannah is a 1938 cargo barge, fully restored, floating the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi at just over 2 miles per hour through the vineyards and villages of Languedoc. On board: a private French chef, mahogany and brass interiors, and linens from established French makers. Off board: a vintage Citroën 2CV through Minervois wine country, a private helicopter flight over Cathar fortresses, and an exclusive tasting at a 17th-century estate that has belonged to the same family for ten generations. This is not a cruise. It is a week spent inside a place most travelers only pass through.
