this is one of the proudest moments of my career. for @papermagazine Pride cover story, I travelled to Alabama in part to profile the pop diva on everyone's lips @chappellroan , in part to witness to her cosmic star power in person. it was an experience I'll never forget. alongside the cover story, I also moderated a conversation with Chappell Roan and @trixiemattel , crossing that off my bucket list. "I think the best artists, or the best, most interesting people throughout history, are quite polarizing. And some people might think I'm the devil [...] I don't want to ever feel like I can't be myself in the name of pop music." At the beginning of the year, I got a pitch from @beaisaacson that would change the trajectory of the year for PAPER. It's about Zara Larsson, Sweden's global pop phenom, and all the important players read and talked about it. People shared Bea's story everywhere, and even podcasters brought it up to Larsson in interviews. Well, now Bea is in convo with the diva herself and I couldn't be more thrilled.
