[ 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭.𝟱–𝟮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 , 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀 ] 🪑 Narrated postscards from the rest of the @aesop x @design.anthology experience. One of the reasons I booked this trip was to learn more about @torafuarchitects and @koichi_suzuno , known for designing many Aesop stores in Japan. We had a short class on his design philosophy, followed by a personal walkthrough (still surreal until this moment) where he pointed out details along the way. It was grounding, inspiring, and quietly reassuring—this feels like the direction I want to take in my own design journey for @a.sphere and @alberoph . 🪜

[day 1 design journal, with subs] 🌇 Receiving the news that I was accepted to the @aesop × @design.anthology Sensory Retreat experience, I immediately booked the trip—despite last year’s busy schedule. To discover another layer of depth in design, far from home, is truly a gift. This trip reminded me that design is deeply personal and intimate, beyond where you are from. It’s not about who creates the best, but who understands themselves—and others—most deeply. 🎋 @suzyannetta @jeremysmart @gipsietipsie @xinyaoqiu_

a 16-second archive: @aesop x @design.anthology Sensory Retreat Two of my most beloved brands coming together in one experience — a retreat that truly expanded my perspective on design. As @suzyannetta mentioned over a dinner convo, it’s a rare and beautiful thing when people from all over the world gather to celebrate design that is both meaningful and deeply human. More reflections to come soon — but for now, here’s a glimpse to relieve the past weekend. 🍂 Hosted by: @design.anthology (@suzyannetta @jeremysmart ) x @aesop (@gipsietipsie @xinyaoqiu_ )

⾕ An NYC design discovery trip to @thesomersethouse Other than furniture-making, I’ve realized how the art of bringing pieces together from different parts of the world is a craft in itself. I’ve always been drawn to curation rooted in different design movements and eras. This penthouse brings in Italian and Danish Modern to subtle hints of Baroque and Primitive. Each piece present carries so much character and history, yet still feels timeless still. Was a dream to visit and source here.

Present in New York for @radnor.co ‘s second gallery space, set within the penthouse of Brooklyn Tower overlooking the whole city. The opening unfolded with ”Through Light and Matter” —a simultaneous debut of new works by Los Angeles–based textile artist @rachelduvall . Getting to know the people behind brands at this level—those who share a similar design philosophy with ours—is always really special. ◐ Congratulations for this milestone, @sueclarks and @ceg619 ! — 𝚛𝚎𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 @alberoph & @a.sphere

postcards from year 1: “How’s married life?” When people ask what it’s like to be married, I always feel unsatisfied saying, “it’s the best”… even though it is. In this first year together, I’ve held each moment close. Like a wildflower in a sparse field, I’ve learned to appreciate each moment as it comes. But how do I describe marriage in a sentence, while capturing all those moments? Now, I’d say this: marriage is like watching wildflowers grow into a field—tiny, almost unnoticeable moments slowly becoming a collective story. A story destined for us, one that God has written long ago. Marriage is discovering parts of ourselves we didn’t know existed — while watching our lives together take their truest form. 𓇢𓆸𓇢𓆸𓇢𓆸 happy 1st, @limisabel ! i love you :)
