Introducing @lamwency as our performer for Dancer Mary and our movement director!!! Wency views movement as the foundation of life. Wency’s ongoing research combines movement, science, and Taoist teachings; transforming them into performing arts and somatic practice (the understanding of the living body as whole). Ways of moving, perceiving, and living. As a performer, facilitator, director, and somatic practitioner, Wency aims to facilitate spaces where individuals can discover, express, and connect with themselves and others through movement. Wency’s mission is to understand the embodiment of life, which informs embodied performances, enriching both personal and artistic endeavors. Wency’s performances have been showcased in prominent venues like The Place, Streatham Space Project and Theatre Deli Sheffield. Her works are known for their emotionally charged movement, striking visuals, and soundscapes that aim to evoke visceral experiences for the audience. Devised by an all migrant ensemble, Woo Woolf is a playful protest that reaches across time and culture, to meet Virginia Woolf in mischief and metaphor. Woo Woolf traces gendered histories, fleeting memories, and migrant feelings through bodies, screens, and shifting voices. 21:00PM Tuesday 4th November 19:00PM Sunday 9th November @cockpittheatre Ticket links in bio!!!!!
