Announcing our FIRST Act for
@mindthegapimprov ’s special edition ‘Mind The Gap: Open Night’.
🎤 ‘-inging’ by;
@lamwency , a London-based movement practitioner and holistic health provider, Maggie Chan Tin Lok a London-based performing artist and educator, Jonathan Yang a sound artist, performer, and singer-producer-songwriter, and Wilfred Wong a film / Theatre Director and Multi-media Artist.
‘-inging’ is an ongoing, evolving score-based improvisation exploring collective states of being through movement, sound, and voice. With a score designed to stretch the performers beyond ease, -inging draws from dance, theatre, music, and somatic practices, where the performers reveal the beauty, chaos, and vulnerability of human existence.
🎤 Mind The Gap is an ongoing series of events, bringing together improvised performances in different mediums. An individual constellation of acts, curators and audiences each event has a different feel, always full of curiosity, creativity and surprises.
Alongside 4 curated acts, there will be at least 4 OPEN ACT SLOTS, selected at random from names put forward on the night. Past line ups have included dancers, musicians, spoken word artists, actors, comedians, drag artists and zine makers.
