Second Life | 2022 Grateful to @collecthongkong 2026 for giving these two works from 2022 a second life 🥹 Back then, when I drew maps, there was a kind of quiet paranoia owo .. I reckoned I had to record everything, every street, every landmark, every trace of culture. Nothing could be missing. Now, looking back at what I once thought was a “complete map”, I realise something unsettling… (Some of the places I carefully marked no longer exist, and more painfully, there were memories I never recorded at all…) It makes me wonder what an art map is. This time, the reason I chose “Journey To Yau Ma Tei” and “Ocean Park” is not only because both were created in 2022, but also they come from different states of being. One is rational, built from observation, research, and the act of documenting a community. The other is emotional, holding fragments of memory, of myself, and of two friends who have immigrated TwT On the surface, they are both dense maps. But to me, they have always felt closer to poems. And yet, what truly carries my feelings are the lines of text written within the drawings. Perhaps only those who take the time to read them carefully will begin to understand the stories these works are trying to hold. Seeing them together unsettles me. One speaks of disappearance, the quiet erosion of time. The other speaks of longing for people and moments that cannot return. What I once pursued as completeness now feels insufficient. What was never captured feels even heavier. So what is the meaning of drawing a map? Is it to hold on or to admit loss to record or to accept I do not know only that I am still looking and time seems to be part of the answer - “Journey to Yau Ma Tei” and “Ocean Park” are now exhibited on 15F, at Hong Kong Art Centre, in Wanchai. From 21/03 - 29/03!!! #collecthongkong2026

想玩這個疊色印章,可以密切留意大埔藝術中心@taipoartscentre.hk 的活動更新~ ———————————— "Go Upstairs" Series | Product[2] My “Go Upstairs” mural series now continues with a playful twist — a stamp layering game! Six colorful stamps are hidden across six floors. Just "Go Upstairs", collect them all, and you’ll receive my illustration of Tai Po Arts Centre. The design is built around the character "大", highlighting Visual Arts(Lower left), Music(Upper left), Dance(Upper right), Drama(Upper left), and outdoor activities(Middle bottom). It’s a small journey of art and exploration. Let's keep an eye on Tai Po Arts Centre’s events @taipoartscentre.hk to have a try~ .

———————————— Tai Po Map | 2025 Commissioned by Tai Po Art Centre Have you ever imagined Tai Po could be so rich in character? Reflecting on my university life, my time in Tai Po was mostly fleeting. Now, I finally had a reason to thoroughly explore and observe this place. My impression of Tai Po has always been its warmth and humanity. I remember the day I was having community observation. A random local resident waved me over and left me a seat when I was in a swarming restaurant. Not only that, he even handed me his discount coupon and tell me how I could save a bit of money to buy a lunch. At that moment, I truly felt that Tai Po residents, regardless of familiarity, extend kindness and help to each other. This is a community that I love, where people are deeply connected. So, I chose vibrant warm tones instead of traditional black-and-white for the map to reflect Tai Po's warmth and energy. As for the labels, they are somehow organized in the chaos... Red labels represent well-known landmarks. Purple labels highlight iconic local residents. Brown labels denote other fun elements about Tai Po. Also, some landmarks were added upon request from the commission. With this limited canvas, I hope to showcase the richness of Tai Po to the fullest! .

The Sumatra Heritage Story | 2025 4mins Experimental Video (T005) To showcase the biodiversity of Sumatra’s rainforests, I dedicated amount of time researching on Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP). With so many species inhabiting the rainforest, (it was impossible to include them all in this pieceTT). Instead, I selected some species in IUCN Red List to feature, hoping to spark curiosity and encourage viewers to learn more about these known animals and the threats they face. This 3D version of the GLNP map is a new experiment for me. I’ve always aspired to create works that transport viewers on a visual journey. This experimental video aims to immerse you in the Sumatran rainforest (GLNP), offering a wildlife observation experience without disturbing nature—a kind of visual ecotourism. The 3D map took nearly a month to complete, from arranging its elements to finding the best way to present it. While the video was not officially screened, I want to give a special shoutout to @andy.hk , who tirelessly tested different camera angles to bring this map to life. This video wouldn’t have been possible without you... This is one of the experimental videos, and I hope it offers a unique kind of visual journey, celebrates the vibrant diversity of life in Sumatra! ———:Data Base:——— @gridarendal provided detailed information about the Leuser Ecosystem, including elevation and rainfall data. @inaturalistorg provided comprehensive biological data on species distribution and habitats. These invaluable resources played a crucial role in shaping my work and helped me better understand the untouched beauty of this protected area.

The Sumatra Heritage Story | 2024 Illustration, print on vinyl Designed for A.L.A.N @wearealan "Spirit of Sumatra" exhibition at @airsidehk_gate33 ———::About the artwork::——— Thank you to @wearealan for curating "Spirit of Sumatra"exhibition, which creatively merges art and technology to raise public awareness about supporting wildlife conservation and protecting nature. It is an honor to be part it as the education wall. This artwork is a comprehensive map illustration of Gunung Leuser National Park, part of the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. The map highlights the rich diversity of flora and fauna in Sumatra while also shedding light on the human activities that impact the forest. The boundaries of the protected area subtly hint at the ongoing human-animal conflicts in the region. Additionally, two mounted TVs display real animal footage from the forest, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in its natural beauty while reflecting on humanity’s impact on the environment. This creates an engaging and thought-provoking visual experience, offering a deeper understanding of the forest’s complexity. Through this artwork, we hope to celebrate the beauty and intricacy of Sumatra’s wilderness, while inspiring an appreciation for the delicate balance between conservation and human development! ———::About Exhibition::——— Date: 13/12/2024-28/02/2025 Venue: Gate33, Shop312, AIRSIDE, KaiTak.

———————————— Grad Show[2] | "Time Travel" Series If Lai Yuen is the collective memory of Hong Kongers of the previous generation, then Ocean Park should be representative of current local theme parks. This exhibition arranges to jointly display Ocean Park (2022) and The Memoir of Lai Yuen (2024) to create a visual realm of communication between two generations. The placement of two artworks facing each other can create a visual environment of communication between two generations, allowing people to have a time-traveling experience, between the local amusement parks from then to now.

The creation of the character "Mr. Ray" originated from a group project in my Year 4 Sem2 Art Admin2 course. At that time, my team members and I wrote a cultural business proposal to establish a local art and culture in the form of City Hunt game. This tiny tourism company called "Stray Cat". I created "Mr.Ray" as the mascot, which is taken from the last three characters of "Stray". In this case, "St" stands for "Street". It means walking the streets to discover traces of art and culture. "We use the image of a stray cat that is agile and perceptive, representing its keen sense of local cultural architecture and artistic traces. Provide customers with in-depth tours that provide both cultural appreciation and entertainment experiences. Join our CAT, the C-ultural A-rt T-our!"
