Extremely proud of @photomonthlondon and all the wonderful team has been able to achieve in its first edition back! So many amazing artists and collaborators who brought this to life with us! We are all so thankful for the hard work and dedication from everyone involved. It really is all about celebrating photography for all.

I heard Leah talk about her project âHaving Had Faithâ a couple of weeks ago, and I have been affected ever since. We are surrounded by institutions that inflict pain on ourselves and others constantly. I find Leahâs artistic practice a beautiful response to this hateâone that uses a language I cannot seem to muster on my own. I encourage you all to get to know her work.
I have left some thoughts on art acts, the official publication of @photograph_arts , link in my bio.
Please let her the humanity in her gaze reach you!!!

Yesterday I watched âThe Voice of Hind Rajabâ by Kaouther Ben Hania. It is a film that should be watched by the whole world. We are making history as we live and breathe, it is up to us how it goes.
As Kaouther says, âwe canât afford to look away.â
This film deserves every ounce of attention the team has fought for and praise it has received. Reaching UK cinemas tomorrow January 16, 2026, it is a hard watch, crafted in an incredible manner.
Thank you to @ibraazlondon for making this available and to @kaoutherbenhania for taking the time to speak with the audience.
I left some thoughts about my experience watching the film on substack. There is so much more to be said. I encourage you all to have the courage to watch this story be told by little Hind herself and the heroes that tried with everything they could to save her.

This has to be one of the most impressive shows Iâve seen to date! Joy Gregoryâs âCatching Flies with Honeyâ is impossible to reduce to a short video.
The exhibit is on at Whitechapel Gallery until March 1, 2026. I canât recommend it enough. Iâm still thinking about how powerful it was to see all of these works brought together. A substack piece is on the way!
Congratulations to @joy_gregory_studio what a feat!

There is SO much more to be said about this one. Ibraaz opened its doors on October 15, 2025 as a âbrave space for art, culture, and ideas from the global majority.â Given the absolute disregard for and blatant attack on people of the global majority that continues in western politics today, it is utterly inspiring to visit this space brought together by such a hardworking organisation. Ibraaz will continue to host exhibitions, events, and publish written work, making it all available and accessible to the public.
Whatâs on now at Ibraaz:
⢠âParliament of Ghostsâ, Ibrahim Mahama (2025)
⢠âA Flock of Keen-eyed and Far-seeing Magpiesâ, The Otolith Library-in-Residence (2025)
⢠âWriting Gazaâ, Omar Berrada and Shivangi Mariam Raj in collaboration with writers living in Gaza (ongoing)
Do visit the space even if only to experience the care and warmth it generates. I canât wait to keep up with Ibraazâs thoughtful programme!

âIn Between Belongingâ for PhotoMonth at the Mile End Arts Pavilion. On display until the 20th of October.
I believe it is extremely important that we appreciate how diverse our cities are. That is what makes them so culturally rich and exciting. London as we know it wouldnât exist without the individuals that come from all different backgrounds and identities to find haven and acceptance. What makes London so great is the fact that most of its inhabitants belong in between countries and cultures, contributing individual nuance to create a depth of intersectionality like Iâve never witnessed anywhere else.
My admiration for all of these artists for dedicating time and energy to highlighting the beauty of Londonâs collective identity, rooted in discovery and communion, is insurmountable. Thank you for being a part of this.

This is extremely terrifying, but it feels very urgent to me to put stuff out there. I am incredibly disheartened by the seemingly infrequent conversations we are willing to have with each other about the things we are watching take place before our eyes.
Please read my thoughts, Iâd love to discuss yours. Link in bio. â¤ď¸
So excited to announce that this beautiful film, made by @leokellyyy and @gee.jpegs , will be included in âIn Between Belongingâ for @photomonthlondon from the 15th to the 20th of October at the Mile End Art Pavilion.
Set in London and following Ginaâs family and Ugandan roots, âSundayâ explores the concept of cultural dissonance, highlighting how women and mothers advocte for the preservation of cultural traditions for future generations. Paired with the documentation of Sista Wallataâs journey to maintain the sacred traditions of her Rastafarian ministry, the film reflects the often polarising experiences of underrepresented minorities in British society. Following these stories closely, âSundayâ uncovers the challenges and transformations occurring within these communities.
STAY TUNED FOR the filmâs release on September 28, 2025â¨

Meet Molly, our next Artist Spotlight đś
@oneofthemollys is a London born and based singer-songwriter creating alternative neosoul, R&B beats to express her individuality. Molly's music responds to the lack of sense of place she felt growing up in a mixed family. Her melodies are inspired by the fluidity with which she approaches life.
Keep an eye out for her work coming soon and in the meantime... why not visit her on Tuesday the 24th of June, 7:30 - 10pm at Next Door Records for some alt-rnb tunes!!! đĽłđŤđ
