There’s many new faces here since my Homeworthy episode got posted this morning on the YouTubes, so I feel it’s appropriate to introduce myself to some of you! (And good day to all of you OGs who have been following me for a while!)
I’m Natalie, a Chinese American born in California and owner of my Hollywood Regency-inspired home I dubbed @ktownchateau in Los Angeles. During the pandemic, I literally repainted every surface of my apartment and became a reluctant DIY content creator.
I love treasure hunting for unique things to decorate with from antique stores, flea markets, estates sales and thrift shops. Never in a million years did I ever think so many of you would be interested in my little home, and I am so grateful!! Welcome to my life at the Ktown Chateau!!

Every third Sunday of the month, you’ll likely find me paying homage to the thrift gods at the Long Beach Antique Market. Located in the Veterans Stadium of Long Beach City College, the @longbeachantiquemarket is hands down my favorite flea market in California.
Over the years, it’s where I’ve found my gold Chinoiserie jewelry storage tower, multiple large art pieces, light fixtures, vintage clothing (including that insane gold chainmail dress) and jewelry. I’ve also left many incredible pieces behind. 🥲
Best of all, beer and snacks are for sale, and there’s nothing better than roaming the aisles of this flea market on a hot summer day than with a cold beer in your hand next to your thrift bestie. Who will be joining me tomorrow? 🤗

I love finding design inspiration everywhere, so much to my delight, we came across this incredibly decorated guest house in Windsor Square as part of the garden tour hosted by the Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society. (@windsorsquarehancockparkhs )
The space was obviously decorated for the lady of the house as a “lady den.” The main room features wallpaper from House of Hackney’s Plantasia collection in Sage with THE prettiest vintage swan mirror (that I’m now trying to source for myself), cozy boucle furniture and vibrant artwork from Samsung’s Frame TV.
Not shown is the full bathroom down the hall and a home gym complete with Pilates machine in another room. We love how guest houses are larger than most people’s apartments in these parts. 🥲

Earlier this month, the Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society hosted a lunch and garden tour of four properties, showcasing the beautiful flowers and plants in full bloom from each home. It was the perfect Los Angeles day with a slight breeze, partly cloudy sky and temperatures in the mid-70s. 🤩🫶
A small neighborhood, Windsor Square is located just west of Koreatown, halfway between downtown and the ocean. This historic neighborhood was developed in 1911 and was the first development to have underground power lines. At first, walls or fences were discouraged so one garden and yard ran into another, creating a park-like setting. 🌳
Building styles include Tudor, Italian Renaissance and Dutch Colonial with architects like Paul Williams and John M. Cooper designing homes in the area. Windsor Square is currently the site of the mayor’s residence in Los Angeles (owned by the Getty family). Most recently the Balenciaga runway show was hosted on the streets of Windsor Square. 😎

A little tribute to Mama Wong this Mother’s Day. She’s the OG homemaker who taught me the essentials of making a house a home. The ultimate DIY-er, she’s been by my side from day one of owning our Château. It’s from Mama Wong where I learned how to stretch a dollar and when to save or splurge.
The Château would not be where it is without her. 🫶

Kitchen tour, spring edition! 💐
It’s been seven months since the full reveal from my kitchen remodel, and I’m unfortunately part of the “90% club” that hasn’t completely finished yet. (But then again, are we ever really “done?” 😜) There are still some shelves and drawers I need to update in the cabinets and some decor and styling I plan to start/finish, but all in all, I’m still beyond happy with the results. 😍
The paint color also now transitions between the kitchen and dining room. I’m a happy homemaker!
I plan to be hunkered here in LA for the rest of spring so stay tuned for more home updates from yours truly. 💁🏻♀️
