Y-OTIS (@lacdesable ) – DE/SEMBLE 2025 Thursday, October 9, 2025 FLUCC (@fluccvienna ) Otis Sandsjö – the visionary saxophonist and driving force behind Y-OTIS – crafts a unique, genre-defying sound that he calls “liquid jazz.” Originally from Sweden and now based in Berlin, Otis merges jazz with elements of hip-hop, electronica, and experimental groove to create rich, immersive soundscapes. Following his acclaimed self-titled debut in 2018, he released Y-OTIS 2 and Y-OTIS TRE via the renowned Helsinki-based label We Jazz Records, with production by Koma Saxo’s Petter Eldh. Otis’s music has been described as an “audio mosaic,” blending hypnotic saxophone lines, fragmented rhythms, and funk-infused beats into a fluid, forward-looking sonic experience.
