Swedish saxophonist Otis Sandsjö, who is based in Berlin, has shaped Y-OTIS into a boundary-breaking band that cooks up a liberating mix of jazz, electronica, and hip hop. Hypnotic saxophone riffs and jagged rhythms create a fascinating sound mosaic, all masterfully and playfully put together by Sandsjö and co-producer and bassist Petter Eldh.

Next week Friday, Jamie Peet will present his REFLEX assignment. In REFLEX, a series by BIMHUIS Productions, we invite musicians to reflect on the world and society.
Especially for this assignment, Jamie Peet has formed a new band with saxophonist Ben van Gelder, bassist Pat Cleaver and renowned American vibraphonist Joel Ross. We had a chat with the new wave drummer during rehearsals.
