Three weeks in Japan.
I can’t say I wasn’t nervous for my first trip away with just me and my camera (a single Pentax 67), in an effort to find the joy of taking pictures instinctively again.
So I couldn’t be more overjoyed to say that my little time away not only gave me a feeling of purpose again, but that it’s a part of the new, huge, beautiful @arxipelag_ annual launching this Wednesday at @byreadingroom in Milan.

A special ingredient in perfumery, elemi is derived from a rare resin produced by the kenari tree. Native to the Philippines, this crystal like ingredient can only be harvested once its tree is seven years old. During the wet season, an incision is made into the tree’s bark and the sticky golden resin in is collected using palm fronds. From this resin, a luminous essential oil is extracted using steam distillation.
It is delicate, bright and citrussy with a cold, peppery spice - captured naturally, it finds its way into Spring 26 🌴🫧🔬
