In Search of the Shoebill 🇺🇬🌿 In this @fablefund film, @mehta_a travels with wildlife presenter @kylethomas deep into Uganda’s Mabamba Swamp, one of the last strongholds of the elusive Shoebill. Whenever I get invited on an adventure I HAVE to go! 🌍🌱This Earth Week I went to Bristol to meet Amy Thompson, a wildlife filmmaker behind A Gorilla Story, Told by David Attenborough (on @netflix now). She spent FIVE months in the wild with gorillas 🦍❤️AD

Had an awesome day filming at @careforwild Rhino Sanctuary in South Africa 🇿🇦🦏 Care for Wild is the world’s biggest rhino orphanage, rescuing orphaned rhinos, many of which have lost their mums to poaching. The team raise and rehabilitate them with the goal of returning them to protected wild areas when they’re ready. I spent the day with Petronel Nieuwoudt who founded the centre. She’s an incredibly inspiring lady and I learnt so much from her in just a single day. Stay tuned for our film which is part of my new series with @waddellmedia . Great day of filming my new series with @waddellmedia with the wonderful Josie @vervet_forest 🐒🙊 try to find the orphaned vervets blended into my jacket 🫣 *humans are the foster parents for these monkeys, providing critical 24/7 care but once they’re old enough things are hands OFF and they join a troop*

Let’s bring these bears to freedom! 🐻❤️. Around 200 moon bears from the exploitive bear bile trade currently sit in cells in South Korea awaiting their freedom. Unfortunately, local sanctuary space is full and these bears cannot be released into the wild due to suffering years of trauma and mistreatment. A few weeks ago I visited a bear bile farm in South Korea with @spaceforthewild . Moon Bears have been cruelly exploited for the extraction of their bear bile for years for the oriental medicine industry. This very family that we visited have never seen anything beyond small, dirty, metal cages where they have received the most inhumane treatment anyone could imagine.
