i made this video about turning 19.
as i step into this new year of my life, i release the weight of societal expectations placed on me as a Palestinian-American woman. i am no longer interested in shrinking, explaining, or softening myself to make others comfortable.
if my existence, my voice, or my relationships feel political, difficult, or easier for you to ignore—that’s your choice. but i will continue to show up fully: as a friend, a teacher, a human being, unapologetically and without permission.🌟
