I had an art filled day yesterday, first visited The Independent on Pier 36 then went to Tribeca for a bunch of openings. It was great seeing so much good art and running into many old friends and colleagues! I’m so glad that I had a chance to see Gloria Klein’s show @anatebgigallery Gloria was an old friend and neighbor, she was an abstract painter who was involved with the Pattern and Decoration movement in the 1970s. Her rigorous, colorful geometric works were based in her own mathematical systems for dividing and organizing her canvases and systematically distributing colors to create stunning detailed compositions. Kustera Projects presented an exhibition of Gloria’s Works on Paper in 2019. #gloriaklein #abstractart

I went to a private screening of the Bruce Springsteen movie #delivermefromnowhere and was impressed with Jeremy Alan White’s performance as the boss but the movie got really dark at times and muddy with several storylines going on. The musical performances were exciting and I wish there were more of them in the movie.
