I directed a short film titled Ngisakuthanda, loosely based on Zee Nxumalo’s song of the same name and featuring Zee in the titular role alongside Thandolwethu Olly Zondi. It is a story of heartbreak and the quiet push it gives us to move forward. What began as my own lived experience quickly became a shared one, shaped by the stories my friends had lived through as well. Zee, Olly and an incredible crew poured their craft and honesty into every frame, turning those emotions into something real. This project became our collective diary, and I hope anyone who watches it resonates with the story

In 2023, we traveled, laughed, and cried. We achieved awards, celebrated big and made our first short film. Along the way, I gained valuable experience and a few extra pounds 😂. I had the pleasure of directing a three-part musical show for @mzansimagic titled One Night With, featuring @mrcashtime , @samthingsoweto , and @musakeys .
This project allowed my inner child to shine as I played with the lights, experimented with the LED screens, and signaled my AD to unleash the smoke.
A heartfelt thank you to the creative team I collaborated with on this journey. Your involvement made it not only a success but also an incredibly fun experience.
What an incredible year 2022 has been for me. It was a year of many firsts: my first time directing a reality show, my first TV commercial, my first trip outside the continent, my first radio appearance, my first newspaper article, and a music video edited by my production company that received 20 million plus views.
A lot of what I envisioned came to life, bringing me immense joy and happiness. I’m grateful to my family, partner, and friends for all their support and motivation.
To everyone I worked with and those who extended opportunities to me, thank you so much; I’m eternally grateful.
As for the upcoming year, may it bring success and prosperity in abundance.
