Man… to say the end of an era would be putting it lightly.
For six years, I had the privilege of working alongside Ryan in his role as national ambassador for
@bombaysapphireus through a number of seasons, changes, and challenges. Together we traveled the country and the world, sharing stories and striving to reflect the qualities of the mentors we looked up to in this industry. We worked on one of the most rewarding projects I have ever been a part of with
@mostimaginativebartender and got to witness the bar community reconnect with the creative passions that drive them and give them a unique perspective and voice. The bond that came from it is powerful. Everyone we crossed paths with, that we mentored and learned from, left with a deeper sense of their voice and the talents they have to share. We really created some unforgettable moments. That was all possible because of Ryan’s vision and leadership.
More than anything, he’s been someone who really helped guide me—who helped me get it along the way. Working with Ryan taught me how to use my voice and bring the best parts of myself not just to the job, but to how I show up for others. Because that’s who he is, someone who lifts people up, leads with intention, and quietly makes everyone around him better.
I met Ryan when I joined the Bombay team in 2019, and honestly, I was pretty intimidated at first. He has a way of keeping you guessing with his honesty and dry sense of humor. Over the years I got to admire his leadership up close—his mentorship, integrity, and deep care for people. He’s a true leader. And an even better friend.
Everyone should be lucky enough to have someone like this in their corner. I’m grateful to have gained one of my closest friends through this journey. I am forever better for the impact you’ve had on me and I appreciate you forever for it. We’ve shared some pretty amazing adventures in the last several years, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds. Stoked for you to go out and crush it in your next endeavor my brother. Cheers to the legend, the best to ever do it. The dark lord of Laverstoke.
