📖Future Drum Circle is a Washington, DC-area music project and live electronics ensemble created by Black Techno Matters founder @b_x_r_n_x_r_d that mashes up traditional drum circle community energy with modern, improvised techno, afrofuturist sounds, and electronic, machine-driven beats. It is a high-energy, experiential, and often outdoor, performance focused on merging rhythmic electronics with live, spontaneous, and fluid sound creation with the aim of moving spirits and recalibrating consciousness.

With a diverse range of influences and a passion for experimentation, Amal continues to captivate audiences worldwide with groundbreaking sounds and electrifying performances.
The @thecelaofficial conference brings some of the best together from the #LandscapeArchitecture community. This year in Cincinnati, which was fun to explore and eat my way through. I swear I presented multiple times throughout the week, just don’t have any pics of it.
@blacktechnomatters turned 6 this week! I want to give some shine to my ride or die @krispritch who's been by my side with BTM from the beginning and through literal blood sweat and tears. I'm particularly proud of how much he's done for Techno in the Park over the years. It's a beautiful gift being able to watch our community grow together and I eternally am thankful! Here's to many more adventures! 🥂 🐙❤️🔥🧸
Wow! 6 years of @blacktechnomatters ! I’m so proud of my husband @b_x_r_n_x_r_d who started BTM 6 years ago by himself and has grown it into a fxmxly of 10+ crew members and 100s of contributors through DJ sets, mixes, original releases, art work, and volunteering. What started as a party, has grown into a global platform, record label, and movement that recognizes up and coming Black techno and electronic DJs and musicians and celebrates the OGs. From east coast to west coast, the south and PNW, BTM has thrown events and helped grow the Black techno communities and allow people to feel seen, heard, and proud of who they are and what they do.
This work isn’t easy but I’m so proud of Bernard and the crew for being so consistent and focused on the mission, even during a pandemic, authoritarian takeover, and global conflicts. ❤️
