Future Drum Circle performing at TECHNO IN THE PARK 7/14/23 - 🎥: @krispritch The origins of Future Drum Circle started in 2019. @b_x_r_n_x_r_d heard a beat in his head, except it was unlike any beat he had heard before. It was an intense barrage of percussion that felt so alive, like a l00p repeating, but also never quite the same way each time. He tried to replicate the sound on his tr-8s, but it wasn’t until he started jamming with @diyannamonet who also had a tr-8s, that he realized this sound was bigger than just himself. Each artist’s energy would manifest itself differently on the drum machine. Slowly, more DC musicians joined in on the fun. Next was @ashaadiasantee (the p0rtal opener). B_X_R_N_X_R_D and Asha first met while jamming at one of the BODYWORK parties where Asha played live drums. For Future Drum Circle though, they opted for the Akai MPC, working in lush synth stabs and pads. Next was @stukesm4 who was really involved with @blacktechnomatters and used the MC-707 to add his signature electronic bongos and congas. Next was B_X_R_N_X_R_D’s @smokeandteadc bandmate @blinkhornmusic , who finally had gotten on the tr-8s train, but gravitated towards polyrhythms with the block and claves sounds. And last, but not least was George who used to be B_X_R_N_X_R_D’s neighbor in the Cairo building and is actually the reason he owned a tr-8s in the first place. George @truocnateb uses the beastly Perkons HD-01 by Erica Synths to create bass heavy electro pulses and noise. Together, the 6 create a magical combination that never feels forced. 🔮🥁⭕️ #futuredrumcircle @rolandsynthandaira @akai_pro @ericasynths
