Wait up, hold a minute — before Kris Baha @krisbaha scoots back to EU lands next week, we’re excited to announce that the icon will be joining us as one of our special guests for this Friday, 1st of May 🌑👾 It’s our last Space Jams for a while and so we’ve gone extra silly with this one. Excuse long intro, but we must … The Egyptian-Armenian-Italian spent the last decade swapping the red earth and sun of the country here for the concrete-clad hum of Berlin. There, he quickly became a fixture of the punk and techno scene, playing sounds at Tresor to Panorama Bar, diving into otherworldly machine music driven by emotion, environment and the room around him. He effortlessly blends his own mutations of electro, techno, breaks and 90s IDM psychadelia. Before departing, Baha released a slew of epic releases alongside @dreemsdreems in the digital duo Die Orangen, with deep organic grounding grumbles with an acid-infused electric charge. And many may remember the legend of Survivor, the project with his brother and a diehard group of techno and electro enthusiasts in the early 2010s at the bottom End. A long-lost period of time never forgotten, where one can down a Massive Weiner at its diner at 4am between sweats from the selections of internationals like @pachangaboys_hippiedance , Mr. G @todays_vibe and @oxiamusic , and local vets @kiti808 , @otologic and @andyhartfanclub . He’s since released and remixed for Boys Noize, Red Axes, Qual (Lebanon Hanover) and Kontravoid 🫠🫠🫠👾👾👾🪐🪐🪐 Kris will be closing the main room upstairs from 2am. Don’t sleep on the tix remaining. My mix for @khidiclub came out almost 3 weeks ago and I’m super proud of this one. For the first time in a while, I feel like it’s perfectly encapsulating the sonic palette I am listening to, making and feeling right now, coalescing IRL all in one mix for the dancefloor. Exploring 90s psy, progressive trance, techno, idm, psy dub step mutations while still trying to keep the industrial grit hammering through. Thanks @00rt for having me back on the podcast 🖤

Francesco recalls coming up with the lead track by completely shutting himself off from the world, even blocking out first day light, letting his internal pulse recalibrate, forging melancholic memories of his first musical true love, the drums and the energy inside that had been silenced by the outside noise, something we all experience. Sometimes you need to shut yourself off and detox to know who you truly are. Sensory Overload tries to emulate this exact feeling, Squelching bass stabs cycling through the sirens of repetition. ’So Freaks… Energy’ intertwined with chopped vocals, pitched up and down …Chaos build and release, the perpetual embrace of the system we now all depend on. Wing Clipper is a love letter to the illegal raves of London circa 1997, a moment of time Francesco holds deeply in his memories. The freedom of expression without predetermined judgement, openness, embrace, equality and respect for your fellow ravers, P L U R. Something we could do with a lot more of in recent times. With each restart, something new comes in, everything is connected, everything has been calibrated. There is constant theme of nostalgia that runs through Francesco’s music which we keep falling in love with at PS HQ, a future past sensibility, like you have felt this feeling before, timeless but presented in a fresh format.
