Our first resident artist Mathias Chaboteaux is a Brussels-born, London-based independent cultural artist working at the crossroads of altered-state frequencies and time-worn heritage.
Chaboteaux’s practice focuses on the circulation of contemporary folklore, the persistence of ancestral mythologies and the reactivation of this knowledge through contemporary production processes.
In March 2026, Chaboteuax will settle in Istanbul foR SoHOT program. Moving between Europe and Asia with the shifting currents of the Bosphorus, they will listen to a city suspended between sedimented pasts and uncertain futures.

Ilk misafir sanatcimiz Mathias Chaboteaux, Brüksel doğumlu, Londra merkezli, bilincin değişken durumları ve zamanla eskiyen mirasların kesişimiyle çalışan bağımsız bir sanatçı ve kültürel aktördür.
Chaboteaux’nun pratiği, çağdaş folklorun dolaşımına, atalardan kalma mitolojilerin sürekliliğine ve bu bilgilerin güncel üretim süreçleriyle tekrardan etkinleşmesine odaklanıyor.

Kreshik
Kreshik is a sound archivist and head of label, Huveshta Rituals. Born in Brussels and shaped by his formative experiences in Hanoi and Warsaw. His approach to draws from vast cultural realms, channeling ancestral rhythmic structures, whilst engaging with experimental and leftfield sounds.
Kreshikは、サウンド・アーキビストであり、レーベル〈Huveshta Rituals〉の主宰者。
ブリュッセルに生まれ、ハノイやワルシャワでの formative（形成期）を通して感性を育んできた。

On Saturday 31st of January we are preparing a highly intimate listening session from the lost Polish jazz archive ‚Super Grupa Bez Fałszywej Skromności- The Book Of Job’ alongside three avant-garde DJ-sets from Lanquidity’s label head honcho Adrian Magrys, NTS resident Nathan Gregory Wilkins and Huveshta’s stalwart Kreshik.
For the occasion, we will be selling a special edition of the record with a unique parchment designed by Gawron Stuff with the lyrics from the track ‚When A Man Dies’. Limited to 20 copies - don’t sleep! And a special crate curated by Adrian Magrys and Kreshik with Eastern European oddities, Polish jazz, Cosmic USSR, Mutant Synth soundtracks, Uzbek psychedelia and more gems from the their collections will be up for sale during the event.

Think Alice Coltrane meditating on the shores of the Vistula, Okay Temiz exiled and dub-mixing Bruton Library breaks with Soviet concrete mysticism, Holger Czukay conjuring a fourth world through a snowstorm of anarchy or Minoru Muraoka whispering doomed illusions through a birchwood flute - ‘Księga Hioba’ folds all these visions into one. It’s an artefact of resistance, a devotional jazz requiem for the end of times.

On Saturday 31st January, Huveshta Rituals and VDS London are teaming up for a special evening dedicated to the art of avant-garde. We are celebrating the first-ever vinyl release of ´The Book Of Job’ from the Polish psych-jazz outfit ‘Super Grupa Bez Fałszywej Skromności’, recorded in 1985.
Alongside a deep listening session of the album, we are inviting a trio of selectors including the greatest Eastern European Jazz collector @adrianmagrys (Lanquidity Records), London-based curator and record connoisseur @nathangregorywilkins and Huveshta’s label head honcho @kreshik
