Art Deco grandeur reimagined in Elizabeth Bay ✨
The scalloped profile of Billyard Ave residences by @sjb_architects showcases the incredible versatility of brick. Krause Emperor Bricks in a vertical bond combine with custom-made curved R300mm Empress bricks to form a rhythmic composition that plays with light and shadow - creating an exterior that is both monumental and delicate.

At John Wardle's Burnt Earth Beach House, every brick tells its own story. Hand-torn from an industrial extruder, each one is entirely one-of-a-kind.
Glazed and fired in a single step, the raw clay develops a striking palette of mottled greens and browns. These organic tones mimic the local coastal landscape—specifically the cliff edges and banksias—rooting the home in its environment.
It’s a design that treads lightly: the sustainable production process generates zero waste, with all excess material recycled back into new bricks.

Sneak peek at a beautiful @blake_letnic_architects project currently taking shape in North Bondi. A highly textured, random bond is coming together using a mix of our Imperial and Emperor Bricks in the 'Ghost' blend, with a few custom cuts added to complete the pattern.
Each of our houses has a articular focus making it a unique experience for our clients. This house in Hawthorn is one of our favourites from the archives, using a distinctive mix of handmade bricks to create an ombre’ fade effect across the facade of the houses new extension. The precise integration seen here on @smythandsmyth 's Mosman 5 project highlights the robust yet elegant nature of Klad, anchoring the home's sleek, modern lines with a beautiful, earthy finish.

When designing this beautiful home in Wheelers Hill, @matyasarchitects selected Krause Emperor Bricks in Ghost to ground the modern residence within its suburban context, while elevating the facade with rich, handcrafted character.
"Face brick is a predominant material used in the neighbourhood, so that informed our decision to select it. We wanted to do something that wasn't competing with the buildings but related to the existing streetscape. And we wanted a handcrafted feel, so that's where the Krause Emperor bricks come into their own. The bricks achieved the handmade qualities we were looking for, with their subtle variation in finishes and colour."

This brilliant residential development of a former cake factory in Newtown by @sq.projects is adaptive reuse at its finest. A warm blend of Krause Classic 76mm Bricks in Autumn provides the perfect textural canvas for this reimagined warehouse. The subtle hit-and-miss brick detailing and vibrant accents beautifully balance the site's historic roots with modern, high-spec living.

We love seeing Krause Bricks used in creative ways, and this sweeping, curved outdoor feature by @smartbricklaying is a perfect example. Laying the elongated profile of the Emperor Bricks vertically creates an incredible textural detail that will no doubt become a standout feature of this new Lorne build.
