Monday is STAR WARS DAY as we wish everyone #MayThe4thBeWithYou! To make sure the force is strong at #KnowhereGC, we are having some galactic level sales and hosting two incredible emissaries from the Republic: Artist @E.M.Gist & @cosplaygirlspresent are joining us to sign your comics, and maybe do a few commission sketches! Gist has been the official cover artist of #StarWars, depicted some of the greatest heroes from marvel, dc, boom studios, dark horse, and countless other comic publishers, his art has graced some of the greatest Magic the Gathering cards, and he is currently painting the iconic #MandalorianAndGrogu covers across the Marvel Star Wars books! Cosplay Girls Present has done a number of stunning and sexy art books with some of your favorite and most memorable characters in comics, and will be giving you all a first look at his newest, Star Wars themed art Monday, May 4th!

This Saturday at #KnowhereGC we are celebrating #FreeComicBookDay with the NORTH COUNTY CARTOONIST COLLECTIVE! MARK HABEGGER - @markhabegger is an artist/writer who has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. He produces documentary programs for the National Cartoonists Society and his artwork has been used for the 91X Loudspeaker program’s monthly music compilations. He has created cover artwork for ZRock Comics for both their The Ferryman and Payne titles. He is also a regular contributor to Jollies. MARY FLEENER - @fleenerwerks is a second gen Los Angeles native steeped in 60s mid century atomic/tiki design, newspaper funnies and MAD Magazine. Her instantly recognizable style is on full display in her comics, Hoodoo, Fleener, and Slutburger as well as the graphic novel, Billy The Bee and in the graphic anthology Jollies. She is currently working on her 2nd graphic novel, The Happy Hour— a bar band memoir to be published by Fantagraphics. ROCCO VERSACI - @roccoversaci is the editor of the North County Cartoonists Collective’s graphic anthology series, Jollies, where he also contributes an on-going series of diary comics. He is an English professor at Palomar College teaching the incredibly popular “Comics As Literature” class. He is the author of This Book Contains Graphic Language: Comics As Literature (Bloomsbury, 2007) and That Hidden Road: A Memoir (Apprentice House 2016). He also served as a judge for the 2025 Eisner Awards. DEAN LeCRONE - @deanlecrone is a cartoonist, actor and cosplayer. During San Diego’s Comic-Con, Dean can be found at the Cartoon Art Museum booth, drawing for their fundraiser. He also appears at conventions as his Steampunk alter ego Dr. Peepers, who has appeared on the SyFy Channel and the Comet television network. He is the creator of the comic strips Doc And Darena and Tacklebear And Barko as well as the co-creator (with Allen Freeman) of Dr. Peepers: Steampunk Hero. Joshua is a Primetime Emmy and Annie Award–nominated TV writer, author, and storyboard artist best known for his work on Mystery Science Theater 3000, #PhineasandFerb, and Disney XD’s Milo Murphy’s Law. His debut middle-grade book series Shipwreckers was a massive hit and he is the man behind the incomparable The Last Comics on Earth series! This year is the year of Joshua with new Phineas and Ferb graphic novels, the launch of his NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS comic series at Tokyo Pop, a new DOCTOR WHO AUDIO DRAMA, and episodes of STRANGER THINGS: TALES FROM '85 written by Pruett! He co-created and wrote Violent Messiahs in 1997, did runs on Swamp Thing and the Unknown Solider, revived Harbinger for a new generation at Valient Entertainment, and is now bringing you all sorts of Bad Ideas with the hot new series THE HAB! This Saturday is #FreeComicBookDay! The last time FCBD would've been on a May 2nd was 2020, the year this brilliant shirt was made. While comics are forever, the irony is that on May 2nd of 2020 you couldn't run into a comic shop like that and celebrate @free_comic_book_day .
