Small Business Saturday Spotlight: kloTH Hingham
If you’ve ever stepped foot inside kloTH, you know instantly: this boutique has soul. kloTH is a specialty storehouse offering fashionable women’s and men’s clothing, accessories, jewelry, and shoes — all curated with a level of taste and warmth that makes shopping feel effortless and fun.
kloTH is owned and operated by Katia Orth, who brought her world-class fashion background to Hingham after more than a decade in New York and Los Angeles. With retail roots as a buyer at Prada and Bergdorf Goodman, plus an MBA from Columbia Business School, Katia blends international style with the down-to-earth charm of the South Shore.
Since moving to Hingham in 2005, she’s made this community her home — raising three daughters here, walking her golden retriever through town, and pouring her creativity and heart into a boutique that’s become a staple in downtown Hingham. kloTH is part style destination, part community hangout, and entirely Katia’s vision come to life.
After hosting our Book Club, Katia said something that perfectly captures what makes kloTH so special:
“The greatest gift I’ve gotten out of the store is the connection with our community, on so many levels. It’s the camaraderie, support, chats, laughs, cries, etc… and some good outfits along the way too. And now y’all are a part of that too.”
And she meant it. Our night at kloTH — complete with wine, shopping, conversation, and her generous discount for our community — was the perfect example of how small businesses deepen the fabric of a town. This boutique doesn’t just dress women — it connects them.
