🍾🥂FASHION FOR A CAUSE💃👗 . Hingham Sports Partnership (HSP) annual Fashion Show was one for the books. ♥️💙🖤💛 . The venue was buzzing with excitement for fabulous fashion, cold drinks, delicious food, and all-around fun with friends. 💃🕺 . I’ve recently been asked to be on the HSP board and it has been a rewarding experience. 👍 . The missiom of HSP is to funds for Hingham‘s sports (Youth - High School). ⚽️🏈🎾 . The fashion show is one of our bigger fundraisers and it was a great success. 🙏 . Our lovely models were dressed by some of Hingham’s finest boutiques. Every look was a showstopper. 🤗 . This event is annual, so be sure not to miss it next year. It’s the perfect way to kick off the Holiday Season.🎄 .

Small Business Saturday is one of our favorites on the South Shore! We’re lucky to have SO many independent businesses locally. Today we’ll be swinging by @seabird_coffee for a coffee and then hitting up a few stores for holiday gifts. #2 & #3 are big ones. Cumulative feedback & thoughts from friends in the business (and a few personal rules). Phone photos in a dark restaurant will not represent the food appropriately. Making a thoughtful appointment with the team to come during daylight hours shows thoughtfulness & care. Tipping your servers no matter what - this is their livelihood and they just gave you their time. Regardless of the arrangements made. It’s interesting being a small business owner, food writer, and someone who is invited to be a guest. Food is money. After-dark food photos on your phone are not good. Post more than once. Always tip the staff in full. Go back and pay full price. Chefs will fire a meal for you in daylight hours to take a photo with natural light to help represent their menu in the best possible way. This business is about real relationships. Margins are small and marketing budgets are even smaller. If you love your local businesses, strategize support that ensures their longevity.
