“THE SHIFT”- from a distance, this piece is joy – color, movement, light. Up close, it asks something more. Hidden within are quiet questions and small truths – an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider what it takes to live a fuller, more meaningful life. Because deeper joy isn’t accidental. It comes from attention, intention, and action. If you leave here and choose even one small thing differently than the space has done its job. If you come and visit, give me a tag as to which question sparked a shift in you! What started as a simple local date night at Trident Galley & Raw Bar for Jeff and Heather Greenman, Hingham residents and owners of Greenman Industries, turned into a story they will retell for the rest of their lives and a reminder of the incredible moments that can happen when communities choose to eat and shop local. Don’t miss the full story live on the ⚓️ now (link in bio and story). 🦪 ❤️ Every part of this incredible story is rooted right here on the South Shore. It’s a small but powerful reminder that when people choose to eat and shop local, they are often supporting much more than a transaction. They are investing in the people, partnerships, and moments that give a community like ours its charm and character. #anchoredinhingham #shoplocal #dinelocal

The Hingham Education Foundation recently hosted their annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 11th, at the Sons of Italy in Hingham. Guests arrived showcasing their best “Back to College” looks and danced to college-era tunes played by the band Vertical Rule. Over 200 tickets were sold, and thanks to many generous donors, HEF raised over $11,000 from the silent auction which will go towards funding the Bridges Math Curriculum implementation, as well as Open Grants. It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Fred Jewett - a beloved English teacher and track coach in Hingham who had a profound impact on everyone he met. As his obituary reads, “Fred’s influence cannot just be measured by wins, titles or awards, but by the generations of lives he shaped along the way. The consummate coach and mentor, Fred encouraged others with his motto, “everyone counts, or no one counts.” Our hearts are with his family at this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at Hingham High School on Saturday, May 23rd at 12:30 pm. You can read his beautiful obituary on the Anchor homepage now (link in bio).
