Merry Christmas, Friends
Trying to stay away from social media these days, but it’s still the best place for keeping up with all my amazing friends’ music (and cute animal vids).
I think we’ve all had “a year”, to say the least. But ultimately, I’m ever grateful for everything I get to do with music. Thankful for everyone who’s fighting the good fight of making art for art’s sake, and caring about the music first - that means the world to me. I wouldn’t be here without y’all 🫶

I love NYC. I miss NYC. I’ll never want to live in NYC again. I’d love to spend a few days a month in NYC.

I can’t tell you how many basses I’ve owned (I lost count, srsly). But I can tell you this is the first great bass I bought ~9 years ago, and it’s still the one I play the most (and cheapest) by far.
There’s definitely some wisdom there - but give me another 9 years to learn that lesson please.

A long day, a good day, my first in Ocean Way A. There is nothing better than recording amazing orchestras in great studios. Thankful for every single moving part that makes this incredible machine go!
Got to put my Decca Tree up again for the first time in over a year. It’s such a great feeling to be recording orchestral groups again in a big room! Thank you @semsenmusic for making things happen!!
Sometimes, the drum overdubs call for 3 toms and no cymbals (even though you always leave up your favorite ride)
But if there’s floor tom (there always has to be), you know my TLM170 is gonna be there.
This Slingerland kit with Fiberskyns is sounding fat - I’m loving the drum tonequest at home more and more.
