🎟️ Tickets are live for an exclusive event. On May 17, we will be hosting the "Living in Queer Cancer World: Our Stories" project at King's College London. The event is open for anyone to attend on a pay what you can basis 🩵 Living in Queer Cancer World: Our Stories is a creative storytelling project that amplifies the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ people living with and beyond cancer, making space for visibility, connection, and more inclusive ways of understanding care, illness, and survival. This special event invites audiences into the world of Living in Queer Cancer World: Our Stories, a project that centres the voices, creativity, and lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ people living with and beyond cancer. Project Director Professor Lisa Blackman and Project Manager Dr Kit Hung will share reflections on healing, storytelling , and the building of a resilient community.  Together, the conversation will explore how re-minding can become a vital act of care: recalling what has been silenced, reconnecting body and memory, and reimagining how we live through illness in community with others. In the spirit of Re:Mind, this event opens a space not only to witness queer cancer journeys, but also to think about healing as a collective, creative, and deeply relational process. Later that evening, we will also be screening @kithunghk 's film STOMA at the Garden Cinema. Make sure you come to both events, you don't want to miss them!

ON HEALING — our 2026 focus first articulated in 2024 through ‘Inner Alchemy’ then followed by ‘To Sleep and Wake Unafraid’ and ‘Crossbreeds, Cracks, Currents’ in 2025 — unfolds through performances, moving images, visual arts, and community-based projects. It traces how creative practices respond to trauma, memory, and recovery amid the complexities of our contemporary world, bringing together artistic practice, lived experience, and attentive exchange across multiple cities. In a new partnership with the Department of Film Studies, King’s College London (KCL) and Prof. Victor Fan @tristanpupazzi , the inaugural chapter of ON HEALING will take place on 2 May as a one-day programme across KCL’s Anatomy Museum, the College Chapel, and the Somerset Room. It will be an immersive experience that brings together conversations, an Ikebana performance, and a singing bowl sound bath and meditation, shaped through the practices of Hong Kong artists in diaspora — Oscar Chan Yik Long @oscarchanyiklong Hedy Leung @modanzski , and Kit Hung @kithunghk ✨ We are grateful to Victor and Dr. Wing-Fai Leung for their contributions and for joining the artists in conversation. Together, these moments engage healing as both a personal and collective process of reflection, resonance, and sociocultural connection and renewal. You can find the full programme and ticketing details 🔗 in bio. This journey will continue in the months ahead. Alongside new partnerships and ongoing collaborations with artists, ON HEALING expands the curatorial platform ‘Homeland in Transit’ @homelandintransit , initiated by @angelika_onkili in 2019. Further site-specific chapters in 2026 are planned in Dornach, Basel, and Helsinki. Poster Design: D Mak @doshbima

Introducing RESISTERS IN BORDERLAND and our event “Securing the Story - Frontline Filmmaking and Digital Safety”. 📅 22 Sept (Mon), 6pm, Garden Cinema ⭐️ UK Premiere 💬 Followed by panel with Sai, Burmese artist and activist; and @torukubota23 , Resisters in Borderland director, moderated by @kithunghk 💫 Curated by Secure Storyteller Network Have you ever filmed something that felt risky to share? Whether you’re an activist, artist, or everyday phone user, this screening invites you to rethink how stories are captured and secured. Speakers: • Sai – Artist, Curator, and Activist from Myanmar (in person) • Toru Kubota – Director, Resisters in Borderland (virtual attendance) Moderator: • Dr Kit Hung – Queer Filmmaker, Yale-China Art Fellow All proceeds (excluding expenses) will be donated to @docuathan , supporting filmmakers in exile.
