I finally handled a barrel on a reasonably sized 🏄🏻 surfboard! I’ve literally been trying to teach myself to surf on kite and windsurfing outings (on windless days) for decades .. with zero success. I’d built up “board habits” required for wind sports whereby one uses your body as “the mast” to hold the power of the wind, spring coiled, ready to unleash for a jump, or pushed through from core to feet to steer a board. I started as a sailor, then windsurfer, then Kiter, now beginning wing foiler. That path was incongruous with skate boarding / surfing - which requires a whole different philosophy of movement. It took @raimanaworld taking me off the water, blindfolding me, and pushing me around to learn how to not “be the mast”. Then many sessions to get my stance more upright. Finally a ride (after being manually placed in the right spot by @raimanaworld ) on a 7’4” board (I’ve been riding a 9’0” past few years even at my relatively light weight) in (and successfully out of) a barrel. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 Fun moment at an amazing gathering held by @_chasekoch @standtogether #Surf #surfing #beginner

Wow what an experience.. world class athletes, musicians and mission driven leaders gathered at @kswaveco . Curated by @bhooks_standtogether and @_chasekoch for @bethepeople (a fantastic initiative fueled by @standtogether ). So many once in a lifetime moments. Among them.. brainstorming with world class athletes like Dhani Jones @d0057 and @arikarmstead on empowering creators and their causes, surfing with THE GREAT @raimanaworld , and seeing incredible, totally impromptu jamming with world class musicians mixing it up together one night, and the next night to the tunes led by @steveaoki . All while sharing waves during the day. Also made great progress after YEARS on a 9’0” foam board; migrating to a 7’4” @sea.trees “Super Eva” board - a huge volume reduction for me! Got placed in a barrel on that board for the first time, and hit a very high percentage of “step offs “ from a jet ski piloted by @raimanaworld . Couldn’t ask for a more meaningful action packed way to kick off a week! #surf

Honored to be part of an AMAZING group curated by @standtogether , of world class artists, athletes, and leaders across industry and non-profits, in support of a fantastic modern movement.. @bethepeople . @bhooks_standtogether and @_chasekoch led the way, uniting us all behind an inspiring mission. .. and of course.. at this venue @kswaveco ; I got to hit the water with my favorite “surf angel” , @raimanaworld . He pushed me to FINALLY after three years stuck at a 9’0” foam board ; to drop down to a 7’4” board, as well as step off a jet ski, and start to turn. Wow this was fun!! 🏄🏻

@garrylineham and @kitevc (Bill Tai) discuss our most innovative breakthrough yet: Fascial Release™. While our viral PowerCurc30™ targets full-body inflammation, Fascial Release™ goes a step further by helping to rebuild the brain-body pathways that get "wired" into dysfunctional patterns after years of stress and injury. 🧠⚡️ ㅤ Why it’s a game-changer: ㅤ Synergistic Power: It combines the anti-inflammatory strength of curcumin with BDNF support to optimize movement and brain health simultaneously. ㅤ Instant Adaptation: While traditional recovery can take months, we’ve seen movement patterns transform in just hours. ㅤ Dual Protection: It inhibits two key inflammatory proteins (NF-kB & MSK1), whereas regular supplements only hit one. 🛡️ ㅤ When you remove the restriction and the inflammation at the same time, your body doesn't just feel better—it remembers how to move with fluid, effortless grace. 🌊⛩️ ㅤ Take Action: Ready to stop fighting your own body and start moving with ease? ㅤ Unlock Your System: Combine Fascial Release™ with our maneuvers to see what’s possible in just 28 days. ㅤ Comment RELEASE and we’ll DM you the link to get yours today! 🚀 ㅤ #humangarage #fascialrelease #powercurc30 #inflammation #brainhealth #bdnf #fascialmaneuvers

Built in rhythm with the ocean. Morning conversations grounded in purpose, how we protect what gives us life. Afternoons lived in it. Wind, water, movement. Because for us, play isn’t separate from impact, it’s where the connection begins. ACTAI has always believed that when you experience the ocean deeply, you fight for it differently. 💙🌊 And when you gather the right people in that environment, real change becomes inevitable. This is why we do it. 🌊 #ACTAIAntigua #OceanConservation #Kitesurfing #PurposeDriven #ACTAIGlobal

The innovatoion in memory subsystems for AI processing is moving really fast. The demand for massive amounts of data to be fed in, at ultra high throughput, is completely remaking the economics of this segment. Decades ago, most memory systems sat around the CPU not the GPU. Like fuel in a car, the subsytems were layered. Gas stations for mass storage, gas tank for local storage, fuel injector for measured speed. Data would be in Hard drives for massive storage, DRAM for local storage, and SRAM fro the injection at speed. NAND flash became part of the subsystem sitting between hard drives and DRAM. IN the GPU, the data path was widened with this innovaton bringing HBM to market. As of this writing, the demand outstrips supply to such an extent, by next quarter, Micron ($MU) will have a larger gross margin than Nvidia..

What is "HBM" (High Bandwidth Memory) ? All GPU's need to ingest data at incredibly high rates. Modern systems pull data in FAST, and in wide streams. Memory has evolved such that the three main vendors for DRAM for AI, stack the silicon chips on top of each other, interconnectd by on chip vias, and use a logic chip to coordinate the flow of data. The fabrication is straight forward in concept, but not that easy in practice, and if sub components don't work once integrated, the device may need to be thrown away. These use 3-4X the number of wafers per bit delivered in an end product. Right after I saw this SK product with rata rates of 8 giabits per second.. Micron announced an 11 Giabit per second throuput on thier newest HBM module of comparable density, as well as a deeper stack with even more memory. Value added architectures are adding a lot of durable value to this segment of the chip industry. $MU

Lume went international last week to visit Antigua for @actaiglobal conference on longevity. We did a live cortisol experiment at 7:30am- and saw up to a 16x jump in morning cortisol after a 20-minute run. And here’s the key: increasing your morning cortisol is a good thing. That morning rise is your natural ignition switch. It gives you the energy, alertness, and drive you need to power through the day 💪🏼 When you work with your biology instead of against it, you feel it. The conference brought together such a great community in a beautiful part of the world 🌴 More coming soon.

Pretty fun to download these images. It’s still SO EARLY in the AI wave. Grok (X.AI) is testing its image generation by promoting “draw me” on X-pro. It looks like it takes your profile pic and when you click on “draw me” it feeds it into an LLm that draws on anime and other engines. I’m my case - my profile pic is a shot of me flying through the air (6th picture) with a kite bar in one hand with the kite lines coming off of it. Certainly there won’t be many references to train for anything like that.. The images are pretty fun. Not sure where the steam punk gears on a kiteboard came from. I can only guess it’s from looking at old @burningman pics 😎 The kite lines likely have zero frame of reference ; so I’m imagining they used a reference from the Wolverine X-Men movie for the 3rd image. Just guessing of course!
