20 April 2025 It is the last issue of The Observer today produced by The Guardian and me on Obs mag. Thank you all for sending ❤️ and love whilst I have been posting a very small proportion of archive from the 19 years I've worked there. There were so many more 1000's of gems I wish I had more time to post. Thanks to all the amazing people who have helped produce fantastic pictures for us, often at short notice and low budgets, photographers, hair and makeup, stylist, locations, props, their assistants and many more. You really have produced a wonderful "body of work" for us. I hope our paths cross in the future. Where am i going? I will be a lady of leisure this year (in an active way!) and then seeing where 2026 takes me. The Can Can This hangs in my kitchen and encourages me to dance as I cook! 😉 My commission from January 2024. The amazing @helenseamons styled the shoot and still talks fondly of the time with @willemdafoesact , he was a dream to work with, so enthusiastic and all enjoyed the shoot. Just arrived from the framers. This was a cover shoot I arranged in June 2018. Mythical story telling from @philfisk and @florence . This image didn’t make it on the cover for editorial reasons. I love the framing of Florence in the architecture, the still energy and light illuminating from the picture. Choosing the corridor was a brilliant idea as it gives a claustrophobic feel; is the magician defensive or attacking or speaking to some otherworldly creature outside! I have just brought this fabulous photograph home from the framers. A cover shoot I commissioned in October 2022. It is, to use a buzz word from my last editor @harrietg1000 such a ‘joyful’ picture that I can’t help but smile every time I see it. Love the location, the colours, the idea, the caught perfect angle of @ralph_macchio and the balloons! Of course great styling from @matthew_marden and grooming @findliz .
