SAFETY RAZORS are great for chine colleâŠimho theyâre the BEST. Theyâre thin and VERY sharp, and they wonât drag or tear the paper. Just smooth sailing! Then, when theyâre too dull for this purpose, theyâre still plenty sharp for other uses!
P.S. Safety razors are also great for shaving, especially for sensitive skin! And are way less expensive, with less waste than modern multi-blade razors.

I am a printmaker, painter, and overall tinkerer whoâs finding new purpose in independent arts education and as a full time artist. Another great night with the Homemade Printmaker Series! We learned about intaglio processes and tried our hands at drypoint!âŠusing waxed food cartons (Tetra Pak) as our plates!
In all of our workshops we start off by making mark-making test plates to warm-up before diving into an honest effort with a new process.
