Last night @psu_realestate hosted a Careers in Real Estate panel and networking event. We were proud to share the stage with Portland #industryleaders and connect with individuals passionate about pursuing careers in real estate. The event sparked great conversations and valuable connections. One of our key takeaways from the event was that this industry truly does have a place for everyone, there is no one path or skill set needed - it’s all about knowing yourself and exploring your niche. Thanks again to everyone who participated and engaged.

Last night, we had the pleasure of hosting the @crewportland Future Leaders group for an incredible “anatomy of the deal” panel discussion on our recently delivered project Volta at the @electricblocks ! 🌟 We are deeply grateful to our esteemed panelists: Michi Slick, Principal of Development at Killian Pacific, Leslie Cliffe from @bora_architects , Gina Coplon from @turnerportland , our inclusive contracting consultant Nate McCoy from @namc_oregon , and Paul Andrews from @melvinmarkcompanies . The conversation was rich and insightful, diving into our original vision, tactics, wins, impact goals, and valuable lessons learned along the way. It was a meaningful exchange that left us inspired and motivated to continue refining our methods for future projects. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so impactful! 🌿✹ #CREWPortland #FutureLeaders #CommercialRealEstate #Sustainability #Inclusion #CommunityImpact

SE PDX really represented for the PDXWLF last week. We’re in love with all of these memories, which have been made possible by generous sponsors like Killian Pacific. They aim to bring the most creative solutions and symbiotic relationships to market, in an effort to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities, and region. Supporting this festival is a part of that vision! . Uncovering beautiful details to be found at the Grand Central retail center in Vancouver, WA. This kinetic wind sculpture was handcrafted by #LymanWhitaker, whose artwork explores the sustainability of our culture’s present systems. Lyman’s fondest dream is to have his artwork symbolize a move toward better solutions in our relationship with the environment. "I care deeply about our ecosystem and the world’s societal impact on it. As an artist, I can express my concern for the survival of our planet through a creative medium. The Wind Sculptures offer a comforting release from our fast-paced lives with their calm serenity and playfulness." Tenant highlight @Kachkapdx Kachka joined the @Goatblocks in 2018 and has been blazing trails ever since, from a stack of awards to pivoting during the pandemic, their eagerness to experiment and adapt is inspiring. Recently, owners Bonnie & Israel Morales have made new strides by implementing three policies aimed to disrupt a system of inequity in the restaurant industry. 1. No more tips. Instead, a 22% service fee will be applied to orders to offer a minimum of $25 per hour to employees across the business. 2. Profit sharing. Twice a year, they will open up their books to employees so they can learn more about what it takes to make a restaurant run and share in a common goal. 3. Free healthcare. All employees will be offered free health insurance to break the unfortunate lack of access that many restaurant workers face today. Learn more about how @Kachkapdx is taking a stand for equity by visiting their website.

To celebrate our 50th, we partnered with three local artists to imagine and explore the future of cities through our social impact pillars of creative expression, sustainability, and equity. Artist: Yoonhee Choi @ychoi_artist "I was inspired by the concept of the map and its ever-evolving state; especially within our contemporary context and the ability of individuals to add to and create their own maps. My two-dimensional collage work incorporates drafting supplies now considered obsolete in the digital age: line tape, lettering sets, masking tape, and other self-adhering office supplies. This collage looks at a particular section of a map of Portland, OR in the present, past, and possible future. The main characters embody past, present, forgotten, and imagined landmarks, asking the question what is a landmark and who decides?" Educated as a city planner, an architect, and an artist, Yoonhee Choi creates work that explores the potentials of unexpected materials to express both multiple scales of spatial experience and intimate, personal associations. In her projects she uses everyday materials in an improvisational manner to search for limits and possibilities, seeking to discover new compositional devices and structures. Her award-winning work has been exhibited across the country as well as internationally and is part of notable collections on both coasts. — #KP50TH #PNWARTISTS Special thanks to the artist-curator @satorprojects

To celebrate our 50th, we partnered with three local artists to imagine and explore the future of cities through our social impact pillars of creative expression, sustainability, and equity. Artist: Ree Artemisa (@rebeccaartemisa ) "In this work, I tried to convey the concept of collectively growing into the future. On the left side, people are nurturing the outdoor space by planting seeds, tending to sprouts, and smaller trees. As your eye moves across to the right side, the trees and flowers become gradually bigger, showing a city growing and greenery thriving. On the horizon, there are new buildings that are lit up and sprouting rooftop gardens and plants. These green/garden buildings are a nod to the future where I imagine there will be access to this kind of "green", abundant experience for everyone, from the people to the pollinators. It was important to me that the city feels lively, welcoming to all, well-loved and green 50 years from now." Ree Artemisa makes paintings, comics, and zines that are rooted in her heritage, dedication to queer happiness, and reclaiming her original roots. Her works are extravagantly detailed tableaux that incorporate myths and magic from her own Chicanx and Indigenous heritage, and each piece is customized with special symbols and ingredients meant to bless the recipient. — #KP50TH #PNWARTISTS Special thanks to the artist-curator @satorprojects

To celebrate our 50th, we partnered with three local artists to imagine and explore the future of cities through our social impact pillars of creative expression, sustainability, and equity. Artist: Lehuauakea @_lehuauakea_ "For this project, I was inspired by the rivers of the Pacific Northwest region. Conceptually, each mark, or pathway, represents a different river/ocean-based tribe. The paths intersect and create a harmony, similar to the way in which we each as individuals, communities, and beings must coexist together on our earth. And those human communities that thrive most are those that learn from and embody the harmonies found in the surrounding ecological systems." Lehuauakea is a māhĆ« mixed-Native Hawaiian interdisciplinary artist and Kapa maker from PāpaÊ»ikou on Moku O Keawe, the Big Island of HawaiÊ»i. Lehua’s Kānaka Maoli family descends from several lineages connected to Maui, KauaÊ»i, Kohala, and Hāmākua where their family resides to this day. Through a range of craft-based media, their art serves as a means of exploring cultural and biological ecologies, spectrums of Indigeneity, and what it means to live within the context of contemporary environmental degradation. -- #KP50TH #PNWARTISTS Special thanks to the artist-curator @satorprojects
