I #wearorange because guns are the leading cause of death for children in America. Yes, you read that right. Our nation has a gun suicide rate almost 12 times higher than other high-income countries. Nearly 46,000 Americans lose their lives to gun violence each year.
And yet, there are lawmakers and lobbyists and people in power still putting their influence into deregulating. Still making money off of suffering and fear and misinformation.
We don’t have to live like this. Common sense gun legislation is possible, as organizations like @everytown@momsdemand@studentsdemand are proving every day.
