I’m over two decades making films now, so have decided to start sharing some of the many shorts, films, TV, commercials & other projects I’ve had the privilege of being involved in over the years. Needless to say I didn’t make any of them by myself. There’s always been a wealth of people involved. Great people in front and behind the camera. And always in the company of my long time creative collaborator, business partner & friend Andrew Freedman. So first up it’s my very special older brother Trevor in our short film “Useless Dog”. Delighted to share a new project I directed with @antidotefilms for @guinness_ireland , following the story of rugby fan & all round inspiration Martin Gordon.
Live sport isn’t just about what happens on the pitch - it’s the roar of the crowd, the energy, the shared emotion. But for visually impaired fans, match-day experiences often come with barriers, a reliance on audio commentary or asking a friend for updates, all resulting in exclusion from being in the same moment as other fans. Guinness partnered with Field Of Vision to give visually impaired rugby fans a new match day experience. The innovative device transforms the game, converting live rugby action into instant tactile feedback, allowing visually impaired fans to feel every tackle, try, and kick instantly, as well as knowing precisely where play is happening on the pitch.

With one month to go to its release, I thought it was time to share our trailer for ‘So this is Christmas’. Coming to Irish cinemas on Nov 17th after its world premier at the Cork International Film Festival on Nov 10th.
The documentary film explores the lives of characters as they navigate a complicated lead-up to Christmas.
