The Floating Floor
We provided structural engineering specification and successful planning services for this First Floor cantilever extension in Eynsford.
Constructed by the brilliant @fitzcarpentry team we designed the floor joists to transfer the load back to the walls below without the need for excessive steelwork within the floor zone.

Recently completed new build houses on a brownfield site in Halland, East Sussex. Kelp Studio provided structural calculations to satisfy the warranty provider in difficult ground conditions.
We also provided sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) design with permeable paving. Extensive considerations for surface water management were required due to poor soil infiltration, lack of nearby watercourses and surface water public sewers.
