Second belated #medalmonday of 2023: Ironman Lake Placid. It’s so much fun racing with friends, but even better when so many of them are doing their first Ironman. And even greater when you all qualify for the world championship!
Not my best executed, but an amazing day- one of the most fun- on a beautiful, challenging course. As usual, #teamkelly was AMAZING 🥰 and I can’t wait to take them to Kona. Couldn’t have gotten to the line without support from friends, family, coach, and teammates.

Since it’s already #tapertime for the last race of the season, maybe it’s also time for a long overdue #medalmonday… Kicked off the season with Blue Ridge 70.3. My main goal was to do a systems check before #imlp The crazy foggy bike threw me off my game a bit (and was such a contrast to the beautiful sunny day before!), but the swim and run were awesome. New #cutawausa kit and nutrition were on point. It was So Much Fun racing alongside sooo many #dctriclub members! Awesome to see the club take 3rd place club and tons of folks (myself included!) nab spots to the world championships in Lahti. Roanoke put on an incredibly well-run race, even with point to point logistics. Can’t wait to go back when they’re able to host the race again (it’s on hiatus while road improvements are made to the parkway).
