These Masked Artists Are Behind Some of OKC’s Most Recognizable Murals 🎨
———————————————————————————-
Meet the Holey Kids (
@holeykids ) - a masked artist duo from Oklahoma City redefining what collaboration looks like in contemporary art (and making it really fun to look at). Known as Mother Holey and Father Holey, they’re best know for their bold, large-scale abstract murals and immersive works that blur the line between individual expression and collective creativity. In this episode, we spend time with the duo to learn more about their art, their process, and what happens when two people commit to making everything together.
What started as a zine that came out of the local music scene has evolved into a 16-year creative partnership spanning murals, paintings, installations, publications, and more. Grounded in abstract forms and color, their work is intentionally open-ended - inviting anyone who encounters it to bring their own meaning along for the ride. You’ve likely seen their murals brightening spaces across Oklahoma, including OKC’s Plaza Walls, the Kerr Park Pavilion, and Warby Parker at Center 1 in Tulsa. Now, their work is also the featured artwork for the brand new 2026 Keep It Local Rewards Card.
Watch to hear their story, dig into their collaborative process, and see how The Holey Kids continue to breathe new life into overlooked spaces, proving that art is better (and more interesting) when it’s made together.
