Astronomers recently published results directly connecting a huge plume of Lithium atoms with the burn-up of a Falcon 9 rocket component in the atmosphere. In a world that is increasingly encircled by satellites launched by states and corporations, measurements like this are extremely urgent to monitor and uncover the myriad consequences of this rapidly expanding technology. Once again I am trying to write about space! This is a really cool intervention into an ongoing debate around the mysterious galaxies called 'Little Red Dots'. This paper argues that the data points towards them being supermassive black holes hidden behind huge walls of gas.
