so happy to finally share ‘itch’, the first song off my new album ‘Vapor’ on

I wrote this song on my creaky out-of-tune piano in the summer of 2024. I remember the stillness, the open windows with no breeze. It was right after Spine came out and usually after finishing an album, I need to step away from music, to figure out where I want to go next. But this time I started writing right away, even though I felt like I had nothing to say, no direction. I remember, it felt a bit like desperation, the need to do it without the energy to take on another album.
Vapor is a sort of sonic diary, released song by song throughout 2026 (every 6 weeks starting today!!). after Spine, i wanted to disconnect from the album cycle so for this one, i’ve left the songs unwritten. i’ll be finishing and releasing as we go.
