𝗞𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄

When I was 10 years old I begged and begged and begged my mum / grandad / grandma for a pair of Adidas Predator Manias. That dream came true and I wore them to sports day at school the same day and came last in the 100m race. 17 years later I got the chance to interview David Beckham with Soccerbible and Adidas to take a look at his personal collection of Preds, I told him this story, I thought that was where my dream stopped. 23 years after that infamous sports day, the villain (me) finally got his revenge on all of those people that laughed at me coming last. I have the huge honour and privilege of saying I have proudly directed a long form documentary about the Adidas Predator. Ive always wanted to make something meaningful with one of my best pals and sidekicks @iampetemartin . ‘Under The Tongue’ is it. He lost his gran on the day we shot with Zidane and on the day we shot with Becks, DB recorded the most beautiful message to mine for her 80th. A perfect Yin to the Yang along the way. The film features the legendary Craig Johnston, @judebellingham , @davidbeckham , @zidane , @louist91 , @enialuko , @aitanabonmati , @trentarnold66 , @alessia , @jelaniblackman and lots more legends of the game. With a huge Premier last week at the Iconic KOKO with all of my family and friends (the first venue I ever went to in London to cause some chaos as a teen), no other boot on this planet is able to have a documentary about it. There might be good campaigns, colour ways or players attached to some, but Joga Bonito and the cage can get in the bin on this occasion. The Adidas Predator is the boot that anyone in this generation has a memory to. Jude says it best, they’re the bollocks, man. Last summer my good pals at @stlcitysc asked us to design, make and shoot a capsule collection to mark the anniversary of USA beating England 1-0 in 1950 World Cup in Brazil. The famous red sash was donned by 5 St Louis natives, all with regular working class jobs. Naturally, we jumped on the first plane to a favela and made ourselves at home. Here’s some stills I took on the journey.

In January this year I got the chance to shoot with @lando and @tumitravel . I (@dirty.vanilla ) made him this ring, engraved for LN4 and his home river Avon around the outer edges. At that time he had only won 4 Grand Prix, we inserted 4 McLaren papaya stones in and intentionally left the 5th space hollow. I said when he wins his 5th we need to put a big boy gem in….. I think it’s time for a diamond my friend. Congratulations on becoming world champion @lando 👑

Nottingham Forest FC 25/26. Written and directed by me. I’ll keep this one short and sweet. I fucking love my job. I love my football club. When the two combine I put my blood sweat and tears into it. I hope it shows. 160 years. One of the oldest clubs in the world. Back in Europe after 30 years. Wearing one of the most beautiful kits we’ve had. As always my family are front and centre. They’re the reason I’m here and named after one of the guys that feature in this film. One of my heroes, psycho himself, Stuart Pearce. To collaborate with Jason @sleaford_mods was the icing on the cake.
