Most of 2025 was spent printing, works took on a new feel, a new scale and a new energy. Feels good to have some momentum back.

KATY BINKS
@katybinks
Katy Binks is a screenprinter whose practice moves beyond traditional editioning, creating one-off works shaped by intuition and improvisation. Her approach embraces experimentation, with compositions that bring together unexpected combinations of colour - from muted, Brutalist tones to pastel florals and acid-bright neons.
This is Katie’s second time taking part in Artists’ Open House, and in the run-up to the exhibition she has been developing a more colourful strand of her practice, pushing contrasts and layering within her prints.
She will be exhibiting as part of a group at The Hub in Camberwell, alongside a mix of long-standing connections and recent collaborators, reflecting the strength and familiarity of the local artist community.

We’re delighted to announce our upcoming exhibition, Patternicity.
Patternicity brings together the work of Katy Binks, Mark McClure and Matt Dosa, three artists rooted in abstraction, each negotiating the relationship between control and disruption.
Taking its name from the tendency to identify structure and meaning within visual noise, the exhibition presents work in which pattern is formed, tested and unsettled through processes of making. Working across painting, print and sculpture, the artists construct and disrupt systems as they explore a shared territory between order and instability. Surfaces are layered, systems are reworked and material process remains visible throughout.
A shared engagement with large-scale mural-making runs throughout the exhibition. To mark the show, the artists will be creating a site-specific collaborative work for the gallery window, extending the exhibition outward into the city.
We’d love to see you there.

I've been thinking about different types of surfaces lately, I always come back to paper. Its an incredibly satisfying and versatile material to work with. For me, getting the right surface can often make or break a piece of work.

Unique works of paper, each series draws upon new marks, new colours and a new focus. Although created in series, each work remains unique. These works draw heavily on the language of digital print and photography, as well as references to the process of making.

Bigger, slightly bonkers screenprints. Made this one a few years back, very much a one of a kind. Its been hidden, disregarded in the drawers for quite a while. Might be time to look at it again, maybe a nice frame might really bring it together?
